Hi, The computer was working fine till suddenly it powered off abruptly.. I don't know how it got powered off. But after that my machine does not POST. I see nothing appearing on the screen. Keyboard, mouse nothing is detected. Also there are no beep sounds. But guess i never heard the BIOS beeps when the PC worked fine.
The CD drive opens up if i only connect the power supply to it without any connection of MB to it. The fans are running and also the green light on the MB is on. But other than there is no activity.
I opened up my CPU and removed the processor FAN. Removed the grease from teh interface between the processor and the processor fan. Hope that is not a problem.. :(
I have searched the MB for any damaged/bulging capacitors ... have not found anything yet. :)
I have also tried removing the CMOS battery and booting. But no help. Also i have tried to boot the PC with BIOS safe mode. Still no help. :(
I would really appreciate getting some help regarding some solutions to this problem. I have searched the net extensively but have not come up with worth while solutions till now.
In intel motherboard connect only SMPS&CPU fan to the MBD.Switch ON the power supply if the fan is running there is a problem in motherboard. The fan is not running means the problem is in other devices.

Well if the fan is runing at top speed I dont think you have a bad fan, if you re-pasted the CPU correctly (I suppose you cleaned the dust build up in the heat radiator as well) since you had it in your hands... I dont think it's radiator dirt, and if the system POST (Power On Self Test) an can boot in to the OS (Operating System) I don't think it's the CPU either... The only thing I could think of is a power supply issue, try an other one, or a bad component RAM, PCI CARD, ETC... (but befor spending money) unpluge averithing you can leaving just the power, CPU, RAM and start the computer, if it POST and the fans are at a normal speed, than power down the computer and plug back stuff ONE AT A TIME to determine which of the components is causing the problem, if not sucsessful than try an other power supply or other RAM modules...
first make sure your ac cable is working well, then try to check the power supply of your computer if the fan rotates every time you hit the power button of your cpu, if not then change your power supply. if it fan rotates and stops, try to used another power supply if fan rotates and still won't display open up your cpu try to check if the fan over the processor will rotate and still don't recieve display. try to remove the video card and memory and clean it and re insert it. if still don't work. you got your motherboard defective.
Hi friends , It is *********** board problem,Because the over heating. Go to bios and set the FAN control disable. If same problem Change the CPU FAN . If the problem same . You will think, the censer of the mother board, has damaged and that's why, censer of the mother board think that CPU is cross the temperature limit. It is the main reason. You need another mother board, sorry to say you.
Hi, Have you checked the cpu cooling system, usually this happens if the heatsink does not sit on the CPU surface or there is some air gap, use heatsink compound to fill up the gap , or sometimes the fan RMP is slow cause of wear /tear.If not then check your ram and PSU.
Let me know
check to see if the fan on your cpu is working also check to see if your cpu heatsink needs cleaning from your description it seems an overheating problem. check all fans in computer case for operation especially the power supply clean them out
90% in d845gvsr cpu dry problem , when we press fan after that swicth on the system may be it's giving display solution is bake cpu socket at 200 digree C, after it's working fine otherwise there is no solution. cpu socket problem like hang, restart, some time display , just bake the cpu socket with hot air gun or bga machine,
Sometimes if the CPU is overheatign it will power down to stop the cpu from buring out.
A power suppluy just supplies power to the motherboard and that's it.
If the CPU gets hot it shuts down and wont start till it cools down again.
