Question about Nintendo DS Console

1 Answer

Ninetendo dogs my 6yr old daughter has just got a ds lite with nintendo dogs game. The dog doesn't learn his name. She is so tired of trying to get the dog to learn its name. The game says "she heard you" but doesn't respond and we can't go onto anything else. It is becoming very boring and she doesn't want to play it now.

Have the same problem. Is as if ninetendo is preprogrammed and it is not responding on whatever you do, but doing what it is programmed to do. The options for washing on all that it says it can do does not open or are not availible

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

How do you call your dogs name after it has learned it

To call to your dog, call his/her name in clear voice, making sure to speak close to the DS mic.

I can't get games working on my Nintendo DS.

Nintendogs- your microphone is probably dust-clogged or broken, otherwise, borrow a friends to see if it works there. if not, your dog will never learn his name

My Sims Kingdom- my Advance Wars-Days of Ruin did the same try (very carefully) opening the curved side of the DS card (My Sims) and check for, believe it or not, dust.

Naming the Nintendog

Unfortunatly you can't rename your dog but you could try donating it and buying it back or start the game over again To do this at the start of the game(when there is a white screen)hold in x,a,b,y,R and L at the same time. If it is a dog you received in bark mode just do it again! Sorry i couldn't be more help! Good luck with whatever your daughter decides to do!

My daughter has just bought her Ninteno DS and Nintendogs but all she can do is pat it there are no options to feed or walk and it has fleas. It lets her pat it and we can see there are 'issues' but can't...

it learns new tricks etc as you progress through the game.
pat the dog until it sparkles, it is now in a good mood so will learn a trick. put the stylus on its head and slowly move down, the dog will start to bow its head and eventually sit down. keep doing this a few times till a light bulb appears feed it to the dog. do this a few times so it learns the trick, when it learns the trick you can name the trick ie sit down. to clean your dog buy shampoo from the shop. oh and when you take it for a walk go past the blue question marks you might get a little present.

We cant get past naming dog and teaching it to sit.

My little sister had the same problem. You just have to be patient and keep trying you dog will eventually get it right. If more then one person tries to do it the dog will get confused because of more than one voice. Also try speaking louder or softer and holding the mic. closer and farther away.

Dog has learnt its name and first command. Now it won't come

Many people are stuck on this part. Your voice has to be very clear and it's easier to keep the same tone if you say "sit down" instead of just "sit". Same goes for lie down too.

Dog learns name, then won't respond

That has happened to me a lot. I think that the problem is that she isn't teaching the dog fast enough. by that I mean that she might play the game one day, wait a few days then play it again.

Fixing this problem is simple. When the screen says, " Nintendo" in bright red letters and you hear dog barks, press the following controls at once: L, R, A, B, X, Y, START, and SELECT. It will ask you if you want to delete the profile, say yes, and then the game starts all over as if it was new!

Hope it helps~
