Vulcan column electric heater

My aunt has given me her movable 15 column heater. It has a fan and a 24 hour clock but I need a manual to operate it. Where can I get one from?
The name plate says the manufacturing no. is 7377LG

SOURCE: Vulcan Oil Heater not operating correctly

If the red light comes on when starting, this means that there is continuity in both exhaust heating and igniting elements and the heater cutout is also working.
The most common problems with this heater is coke & soot build up in the bottom oiltray and clogging the bottom air intake holes, to remove this the heater box has to be dismantled.

Have a gasfitter bypass the clock. The clock is the source of the problem. You will then have a manually operated heater.

Basically, if your fan doesn't go, it can be: A: The Fan, itself, Check. B: The controller for the fan (Thermostat) Check.C: The Power isn't getting to the main boards. Check.

SOURCE: Hi, I have a vulcan

Hello,

When the fan of your heater does not turn on and the igniter lights but then goes off, then it means there is a problem with the unit of the machine.

The problem with the furnace is that the element of the furnace is bad and need to be replaced. Also check the relay switch of the furnace, that way you will be able to fix both the fans problem and the ignitors also.

Hope this was helpful to you.
Goodluck

kilowatts= electric motor rating in horse power X 746 watts X 24 hours X 60 minutes X 60 seconds/1000

1.50 hp X 746/1hp X 24 hours x 3600seconds =

Vulcan quasar40 keeps turning off we think it has a timer stuck on please help

Probably a bad clock, they **** out from all the heat up there. Have a gasfitter or electrician bypass it. (2 wire plug behind fan lever) - unplug it, cut off from the loom going up to clock, crimp the ends together on the plug you have just cut off, plug it back in. Your heater is now a manual with no dodgy clock.

Vulcan oil heater

1. Check electricity is on.
2. Check oil is in the tank and valve turned on.
3. Switch the fan off at the bottom left hand corner.
4. Switch oil knob to No.1.
5. Set Air knob to No.3.
6. Operate re set button (right hand corner of heater under settings dial). Either press in until it clicks or if the pull out version pull out until it clicks.

Wait - ignition should take place in a few minutes and flames will appear on the left of the burner under the radiants.

You should get occasional yellow crests above the pure blue flame just visible below the top row of burner holes under the radiants.

After the red warning light goes out you can adjust to higher settings.

The radiants do not glow on low setting.

You can adjust the heater on to higher settings but this should be done gradually - no more than 2 settings at a time.

Some warnings:

* The unit must be correctly earthed.
* Do not use anything except heater oil.
* Never attempt to re-light the heater when it is hot.
* If the red light does not appear when the oil knob is switched on, immediately turn the oil knob off. Reasons include: Heater is too hot; Electric plug turned off; failure of ignition system.

Good luck - no responsibility taken for the advice (but it is largely copied from my Vulcan heaters instruction manual which I still have (installed in 1967).

Daily cost to operate

electric is billed at so many cents per kilowatt hour. a kilowatt hour is 1000 watts per hour. if your heater is rated at 3000 watts, running it for one hour will consume 3 kilowatts of energy at whatever your utility charges per kilowatt. if the amount on your bill is .026 per Kw it'll be 2.6 cents per hour.
