Aeg 8081iM "CE" fault..
Fixed it! :) wax valve looks like it got water in it, blew the controlling triac on the main board and fried a track on the board. Bought a new wax valve, installed it. Got a quote for a new board...too much($600Aud+ I'd buy a new one If I had to pay that)...Found a dead machine which had a blown transormer but good board, so played swapsies with the transformers on the main board. Fixed the source of the leak, switched it on and started washing the dishes! :) Now have a $30 spare parts machine for the experience! :)

SOURCE: Dishwasher continues to drain (flashing

Sounds like a bad solenoid from what I can gather. There is a drain solenoid and/or a spray solenoid in most dishwashers. The pump output is directed that way. If your solenoid is hanging open, the water will drain when it shouldn't. It is either bad or has some kind of material in it.

SOURCE: GE Profile PDW7880G00SS Dishwasher will not Start

Re: My dishwasher start light flashes and the timer display is blank.

That is a fault condition, if the display is blank it is probably a faulty control board.

Unplug the appliace from main, or trip circuit braker to cut power for ten minutes.

If display is still blank on startup, then replace the timer control assembly.

See the notes about cycles taking forever. The relay that controls the heating element commonly gets warm enough to melt the solder around the connection, and the internal water heater stops heating. The "2H" indicates how much time the onboard computer thinks it will take to wash the load, based on previous loads, but if the last cycle was longer than 99 minutes, it shows 2 Hours. Repairing the controller board (or replacing it) should solve the problem. This is such a common problem, Bosch should have had a recall, but didn't.

SOURCE: AEG Dishwasher 60820 Sensorlogic Delay timer stuck on 1Hr

This does sound like a problem with the "anti-flood" device that does detect water (leak / spill) at the base of the washer. This device is a protection device that consists of a polystirene float and a micro swithch. Once a water leak od spill is detected it automatically puts the washer in pump out mode. You need to determine if a leak exists that has caused the float to trigger the micro switch and clear the water / leak. This should put the washer back to normal.
However if the senslogic (pc board) has a program fault, the cost of this board = half the cost of a new washer ......

SOURCE: AEG favorit Dishwasher wont fill

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with check the water inlet valve which is located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side of the Dishwasher. If the water inlet valve is bad you have to replace it, also check the main water line for clogs/obstructions. If still the issue is not resolved then it's a bad float switch and needs to be replaced. Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

SOURCE: I have a SMEG dishwasher.

Hi.

If only the crystal light is flashing and no other light is on, then that is not an error code. Problem can be a temporary malfunction, or a defective control module or keypad.

The delicate (crystal) light flashing with last light on the right (heavy washing) steady on means that overflow has been detected. I quote:

Safety level
The system limiting the water level in the dishwasher has tripped. Interrupt the current program. Switch off the dishwasher, switch it back on again, program a new cycle and press start. If the problem persists, contact the technical assistance service.

Disconnect power. Move the dishwasher. Dry water from the inside again. Test the dishwasher with the drain hose at the back laid down in a bucket. Incorrect drain hose height settings may cause water flowing back into the appliance (siphoning).

Regards.

AEG OKO FAVORITE 4070 - AFter not using for a week dishwasher is flashing dry & end together, will not switch off unless turn it off at the power point, there is no water left in the machine.

If the END or DRYING indicator on the programme progress display is flashing, you can probably rectify the fault yourself.
After rectifying an END or DRYING fault, press the button for the wash programme that has been started.
The wash programme continues. If the fault is displayed again, than check water leakage in the battom of dishwasher.

Malfunction: END and DRYING on the programme progress display are flashing simultaneously.
Possible causes: The leak prevention system has been triggered.
Remedy: Try to find and repair water leakage otherwise close the tap and call customer service.

The control panel is flashing a L. What does this mean?

Hi.

The model indicated: MDB5651A does not have display and the error codes are shown like flashing lights. If that is your model and problem please just tell me what lights are flashing.

In Maytag with display instead, the L on display means that the machine is control locked. That is not an error message, but a code telling that the machine has been locked by the user (probably by mistake since you are the user).

I quote from Maytag technical documentation:

? If a cycle or option pad is pressed after the controls have been locked, the indicator light next to lock graphic will flash five times. On selected models with a countdown display, the display will flash the symbol "L" simultaneously with lock indicator.

? This option does not lock the door, only the dishwasher controls.

To set :
1. Press the Heated Dry pad for three seconds.
2. An indicator light next to the lock graphic will illuminate when the controls are locked.

To Cancel Control Lock:
1. Press the Heated Dry pad for three seconds.
2. The indicator light will go off as instructed.

Try pressing the the Heated Dry pad for three seconds. If that doesn't work disconnect power. Connect back and try again unlock (power off does not remove the lock). If that still does not work there may be a faulty part. In that case turn appliance off and give me the full model number.

Start holding down the Heated Dry pad for three seconds. In normal conditions that is enough to get rid of the L and of control lock.

If you need parts or schematics see this tip explaining how to find parts and diagrams for most appliances: Where do I find parts and diagrams for my appliance?

My dishwasher AEG FAVORIT keeps beebing and not working it flashes with a arrow and stright line? it stoppted half way through

The arrow straight line meens end of program. However the flashing lights do indicate an error codeas per the handbook. This could be the ati flood device (polystireen float / micro switch) at the bottom of the machiene indicating a water leak. This device puts the washer in pump out mode and nothing els works until the error has been rectified.

AEG 40630 -top and middle lghit are flashing

This is caused by the Anti-Flood device at the base of the machiene being activated. This device detects water leaks and is a polystireene float / micro switch that puts the machiene in pump out mode only. You need to determine where the leak comes from (pipe or perforated hose pin hole or pipe clamp etc.) If you tilt the washer and some water comes out from the bottom it is a clear indication that there is a small leak.
