If a print result of faxing, copying or scanning has uneven print density, or when copies and scans you make have vertical black lines, cleaning the platen glass may solve the problem.

  1. Turn off the power and disconnect the power cord.

  2. Prepare two clean, soft, and lint-free cloths.

    Note:
Do not use tissue paper or paper towels as they may damage the machine.

  3. Open the document cover.

  4. Wipe the platen glass (D), the inner side of the document cover (white area) (C), the glass of the ADF (A), and the inner side of the ADF (white area) (B) with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth moistened with water

    (C) Document Cover White Reference Area
    (D) Platen Glass

Note: If you have trouble wiping dirt, use diluted mild detergent (for dish washing).
    Caution:
    * Never use volatile liquids such as thinners, benzene, or alcohol; these can damage the machine.
    * The d
ocument cover white reference is easily damaged, so wipe it gently.
  5. Carefully wipe away moisture from each part with another soft, dry lint-free cloth. Do not leave any residue, especially on the platen glass.

  6. Close the document cover.

  7. Reconnect the power cord and power the machine back on.

Lines wiggle canon mx310 printer

Open the printer where the cartridges are and clean the plastic material that is fixed at the print head. You can see the plastic attached to each side and the print head is running its length. It has thin lines or strokes on it. Clean it and see the results.

Clean Print Head Lines coming out in printed

Hi as you have cleaned the heads the next step is to replace the print heads or some people claim that cleaning the heads with some expensive liquid works I have not had any luck with this.
so I would suggest you look up Canon PIXMA MX330 print head, on Amazon at about £47. so not cheep but very simple to fit
good luck

Toner blotched on printed material When printing

If the line has a 1/8" white margin on either side, clean your glass and mirrors.

If the line is all the way across your page, consult your users manual for cleaning the sawtooth electrode (open the front door and take out your waste tank, there is a green rod on each drum cartridge you can pull and hear a zipping noise) and cleaning the laser lens (there should be a cleaning wand under your waste tank, turn pad side down and insert in the gap underneath your drum cartridge)

Hello. I have a Mimaki JV33BS Plotter (1.6m print width). Suddenly as from couple of weeks ago the plotter started printing some black dots everytime there is an image or color to print. This dots are...

Sounds like a cleaning issue.

Drivers for your printer can be downloaded from here:

Manuals available here:

You may want to review page 158 of the PDF of your Operation Manual with respect to Troubleshooting when Image quality is poor. This document points to a number of sections with respect to specific cleaning requirements.

Horizontal lines in printing of photo

Hi!

Please check the waste container where the ink cartridges rest. After some time, ink sprayed into this container during cleaning cycles and builds up to form a heap of solid waste material of ink. On getting too high it makes contact with the printer head and drags ink across all printed material which is required to be cleaned out with a small wooden stick or brush.

Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Backlit print problem on Mimaki JV33

Hello Mimaki Backlit person,
I had a similar problem with an HP flatbed printer on backlit material. I corrected it (mostly) by lowering the print head to the sheet. Yeah, sounds crazy, and you might have to use a profile which uses less ink, but not only did it clean up the white areas, it sharpened the color edges. Even more important to have clean material and machinery, of course.
I would think that lowering the head would cause blurring and smears, but no. Also, the material I was using had been changed by our supplier, which explained why it worked great before and not now. Suppliers frequently swap items for cheaper material, even replacing one option with their cheaper choice, telling me "OH, it's the same thing."
Yeah, right. Good Luck!
