HI,
Try the following steps given on the Toshiba website
http://askiris.toshiba.com/ToshibaSupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=ex&bbid=bb54&url=&dialogID=41366755&stateId=1%200%2041362844

I suspect the problem is with the keyboard as you have already formatted the system. In case you have a USB desktop keyboard , try connecting it to the laptop and check.
You can loacte the toshiba repair centre from the following link

http://askiris.toshiba.com/ToshibaSupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=ex&bbid=bb54&url=&dialogID=41366755&stateId=1%200%2041362844

Thanks
Mandeep

Hi... i have a Toshiba satellite pro model pc laptop. Unfortunatly by accedent my PC wetted as my kid urinated. my system is not power up till now.. i tried many times but it is dead.. not at all power...

When this happens, you should fully disassemble the notebook & thoroughly inspect its inside. Look for any traces of liquid on the circuit boards & on other components. On circuit boards, liquid damage appears in the form of whitish traces. These needs to be wiped off. This can be done using a tooth brush moistened with few drops of hand sanitizer liquid.
Check all internal connectors & make sure that no liquid seeped into them. Dry them if needed.
When you are done, re-assemble back the notebook.
If the liquid fell on the keyboard & you found out that the keyboard is no longer working, then you will have to replace the keyboard.

I have replaced my Toshiba 205 laptop's keyboard a few months ago and all was fine. Now some keys don't work while others work if you push for a few seconds. I reconnected the ribbon last night and...

There is not so much that could be done to repair a keyboard. Disassemble the laptop, check the ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to the motherboard. If the ribbon cable is loose, tighten it. If it is tight, replace the keyboard with a new one

You need to replace the keyboard.

I purchase keyboards from:
http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com/Laptop,Keyboards.aspx

This manual is for the 89xx series, should give you enough info to replace the keyboard yourself:

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/42x3549_05.pdf

copy and paste the link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

I did not get if the keys are working. If not, check the keyboard ribbon. It might be out of place.
Else, it might be the hdd.

Keyboard not working.

Press the FN+NumLock key - you have probably switch on NumLock???

If not, then the keyboard cable has probably come loose.
Look for some way to remove the keyboard. Sometimes a screw from underneath, sometimes two or three small catches at front of keyboard (small gaps in metal plate in front of space bar). Sometimes top plastic bar above keyboard slides sideways.

Keyboard cable uses goes into a header socket - to refit:
Switch off and remove battery and power first!
1. Prise up each end of the socket with a blunt knife - the outer part of the socket should move up a few mm
2. Push keyboard cable down fully
3. Push down each end of the header socket so it is flush with the lower part of the socket.
4. Test keyboard
