Use Window Movie Maker.
Open Movie maker while the camera (on) is connected to the computer.
Click on Capture video from device and follow the steps.
Look out for any options like create clips and disable them.
Make sure you have a DV cable also know as a firewire cable. You will need some software to capture the video from your camera to your hard drive. Pinnacle Studio is an inexpensive system for capturing, editing, and producting videos to DVD.
Make sure you have a firewire port in the back of your computer.
Just purchase a capture card(available at circuit city, best buy and other retail outlets for fairly cheap) and then you can rca or s-video out of the camera into the capture card and hit play on the camera and hit record on the software that will come with the capture card. If you are not tech savvy with a pc there are also external ones you can purchase but a little more money. Good luck, Lee
