Re: ndsl top screen shakes
Often Nintendo of America will repair warranty items without receipt. The serial number specifies when the unit was manufactured. Call them... they can be VERY helpful. or go here - http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/webform.jsp
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Check with the manufacturer of unit directly to see what they can or will do for you. If cosmetics are not covered under the warranty you may be out of luck. But as you say it is less than a year old and have your receipt handy .................
Hope you kept your receipt! That's a warranty item. Your motor is making the sparks. Go to hoovers website find the nearest service center and take the machine and your receipt to them. You'll get a new motor, installed, at no charge because they have a 1 year warranty.
The shaking is caused by a failing power supply. If the unit is less than 3 years old then its still under warranty. You should contact Samsung to have the unit serviced. You can request warranty service at their web site and they will even provide a UPS label to send the unit back to them.
This camera ought to be under some kind of warranty if it is less than a year old, but I have no idea what that warranty might be. In the UK, normally within the first year you can return faulty items to the place where they were purchased for some kind of remedy. Elsewhere, you may need to apply to the manufacturer. You would need proof of purchase, and maybe the warranty documents, which your son may still have.
However, from your description of the problem, the retailer or manufacturer or service center may take the position that the camera has been damaged by dropping it or similar, which would not be covered by a warranty. Perhaps it would be covered under a household insurance policy.
Fixing an item like this is not always economic, particularly if you have to pay for it yourself. Even under warranty, the manufacturer will often just replace it with a new item rather than try to fix it. Perhaps you should look for a new camera, or let your son know that you are having another birthday this year!
With white screens it usually the LCD that went out, since D.S. do not have a reset button, the only way to reset it to Factory settings would be to remove that battery, and you would need to remove the little screws on the back. I would leave that last. However if you guys have had this DS for less than a year i would contact Nintendo, or go to the website because you would still be under the one year Manufactures warranty. I would highly recommend to not state it was dropped. Just that the screen went blank all of a sudden. Touch screen works fine. Make sure there is no physical damage though, as that usually voids warranty. I had to do that for my Wii. No cost to me since under one year. If its been longer then the year then you could do the hard reset by removing the batter for a few mins. Good Luck!
if you still have the receipt, you can get it repair or replace under the warranty, unless the warranty is for 90 days. in that case you are toast.
time for a new one.
replacing the parts is half the price of a new one.
