Gday nelson. if you check out the specs on the rinnai range you will find another one that will go straight in. if you buy new it will come with a new flue kit. as far as recomended installation heights most of them are quite flexible. i installed a second hand 403ft yesterday with the centre of the flue at 140mm from the floor. recomended in the instructions were 240mm. a mate gave me the heater and i just had to buy a flue kit as the old one was already too short. if you messure your flue from inside and send me the specs i can give you a more difinitive answer.

E:01 fault on a rinnai energysaver 403FT

Rinnai 403FT sounds like a fairly old heater (probably about 15 years old???).
There is no E:01 in the instruction manual but a E:07 which is overheating. Could it be this number instead? If so it could be caused by too much dust inside (or the fan not working anymore, if that's the case... sorry but good luck to find the part...)

With gas heaters, the other basic question you should ask yourself is "when was the last time I serviced my heater??". It is recommended to get them serviced every 1 or 2 years.
It consist in having a licensed gas fitter to open it and clean/test everything inside the heater (yes, like your car).

9 out of 10 problems with a gas heater are solved with a simple service, I would suggest you get a gas fitter to check it out!

I have a rinnai 1001ft heater but i need the flue is there enyone that has one please

You should be able to get the flue kit from any Rinnai resellers.

There are many different flueing options existing for Rinnai Energysaver depending on where you wish to install it (by a licensed gas fitter only of course).

Depending on what flue kit you need for your own situation you could be looking anywhere between $150 to $800 (AUD).

Go on their website for a list of resellers.

Would like a manual for the rinnai energysaver 403FT we need to set our heater up so it goes on auto and how do we regulate the temperature and set time

The model number (403FT) has either been discontinued, changed or is incorrect. However, Model # RHE309FT closely matches the heater you described and has the timer and temperature features you are wanting to preset.

You may download and print the manual from the link below for future reference.

Rinnai heater 403FT. The heater works but the flame goes out and comes back on with a loud bang as if there is a build up of gas

I suggest you call for service. This "bang" could be a serious problem in the future - meaning the next time it tries to start.

I have a Rinnai 403 ft heater but no EXTERNAL FORCED flue kit. where can I get one?

Since, your Rinnai Heater is Vent-free, it can not be converted to a Vented Unit. The design does not allow it. Even if you could, the efficiency rating would drop tremendously. Not sure that you'd want to do that, with the price of gas being what it is, now.

Have inherited a Rinnai energysaver 1001 FT gas heater - need an exhaust manifold

Found a link to the service manual for starters

http://www.rinnaisales.co.nz/tradesmart/rinnai2/pdfs/service_info/225.pdf

The flue system looks very similar to some current models. I'd go to Rinnai direct and try and get a list of local service agents who can order the bits in. The flues are very tricky to order because there are so many different bits depending on where you need it to run so order carefully.

The power supply is all good so it has to be within the heater.

Can you vent the Rinnai 551F vertically through ceiling?

This unit can be vented through the roof but requires a specialized flue system-do not use an existing flue connection. Call a contractor - have them check and see if the unit can be modified to a vertical flue- it will require the existing piping to be replaced--Not a job for a do-it yourselfer
