Picture Refresh Problem

At my work there is a brand new Viera Panasonic Plasma. Every 5 minutes or so a message pops up saying that it is refreshing the image. I can't find the option to shut this feature off. The volume is somehow also set to 25 so it is constantly resetting the level of the volume too. Can anyone help?

I am having the same exact problem. Every 5 minutes or so a window pops-up saying "Now in Picture Refresh Mode. Going to Default setting." and the TV switches from HDMI 1 input to HDMI 3 input. Same TV but the 52" version. Any suggestions?

I work in a Source by Circuit City, we have a demo model Viera 42" that keeps switching to "Composite 1" and a thorough inspection of the menu system has rendered no solution, or even an option to turn off "Picture Refresh"

Used Panasonic Concierge Chat and they had me do this:
press volume down on the TV (not the remote) and then press menu on the remote for 10-15 seconds to bring up a check screen. After that, unplugged TV for one minute. Plug TV back in and set up for Home. Can exit out of the rest of the set up. So far so good......this was happening only periodically for me, so we will have to see if it works. I was also having to go to TV Video and select Component 1 (cable for me) every time I turned on the TV, but the above action fixed that. Now it goes to the input that was on when the tv was last turned off. Concierge is free. Very cool.

Panasonic Viera keeps going into picture refresh mode. How can I stop this?

The tv is on "store" rather than "home" setting. If the message "going to refresh mode" keeps appearing every 5-10 minutes, do the following:

-Unplug TV from wall and leave it for about a minute.
-Plug TV back in and follow "initial setup instructions" (can be found on page 14 of manual).
You will be given the choice of "home" or "store" settings. Change it from "store" to "home".
-Done.
