Question about Canon GL2 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
If you have already tried the Firewire and have problems, you might try a different Firewire.
I have had similar problems and found this to be the problem-even though the cable was fine before.
Also, like the other fellow said, you will need a program like Final Cut, Premier, or Movie Maker.

I have a feeling he was talking about the PHOTO option of the GL2 (flash memory). I couldnt get my camera to work with Vista - would not recognize the camera connected with a usb cable (to transfer photos). Went to Canons site and found they do NOT have drivers for Vista. I took a gamble and downloaded and installed the drivers (XPDVSTr111EN.exe) for XP on my Vista box - and this fixed the issue. I can see and edit the photos on teh flash memory of the GL2 fine now. Hope that helps.
