I've also had that problem, had it for around 4 months now.Took it to the beach and when i got home it wouldnt come on in camera mode, the playback was fine but it wouldnt show anything in photo mode, left it for a few hours and then when i tried to turn it back on the screen was pink with alot of scratchy lines when i tried to take a photo.. I'm annoyed after spending so much money for a camera!!

Seems like olympus got us in!. I have the same problem. I called Service & Guarantee center in Mexico. They told me to send it to them: They will evaluate if the guarantee covers the damage. They also said the procedure about waterproof checking. If there is a sand grain or a hair in the rubber-type seals, and it licked thru those, the guarantee is voided and i have to pay for repair. Good God, the camera is water proof, shock proof but hair and sand proof! hope to find an answear soon. I am about to throw it into the basket if the brand will come with an excuse like that.

I have a 6 person hot tub just got last month and we've been having issues first it was really foamy then got extremely smelly scummy and stinky drained it today and it's still so scummy

excessive foam and stink are most times an indicator of wrong water chemistry , purchase a std water chemistry kit from your pool supply center or take a water sample to your local pool supply center and have them test it for water quality , they also should be able to suggest what the proper method of fixing it is

Basic Swimming Pool Care

Basic Pool Care Tips

Test chlorine and pH at least 3 times per week. Have a comprehensive water test every 6-8 weeks at your local pool store. There is generally no charge for this test.

Operate pool equipment a minimum of 6-8 hours per day during winter months and for 10-12 hours per day during the summer for greatest overall benefit.

Brush the pool walls and floor a minimum of once a week.

To prevent damage to pool equipment make sure the water level never drops below the opening of the skimmer.

Lubricate backwash valve "O" rings on sand and DE filter four times a year. Problem is test strips indicate high copper ion (pink) and total alkalinity is low (light tan) Free chlorine is ok (between 0.5 and 1) and ph is good. We have this greenish silt like stuff on the bottom...

1st.. Clean the green (algae) stuff out..
2nd. Clean the filter...
3rd.. Repeat step 1 and 2 until most all the algae is removed..
4rd.. Brush you pool with a pool brush to remove the remaning algae...
5th.. Seems like you have the right chlorine level but not running your filter long enough??? After all steps are completed, run you filter at 8 hrs and your chlorinator between 3 to 6 hrs until your pool clears up.. After that, vacuum again and clean your filter... During the summer months, 4hrs is not enough circulation.. Hope this works for you and good luck.. Please take the time to write a comment if this works for you...Thanks..

Our pool is cloudy, we got rid of the alge but cannot clear the pool. Have had this system over a month and still not clear . Followed install directions but no luck

This is a sign of not running the system long enough... 1st, make sure you have the correct amount of salt... The manual is very conservative... I have a 18 X 33 oval pool and I run my pump in the summer at 10 to 12 hrs with the chlorinator at 8 to 10 of those hrs and have very clear water.. If I drop from those hrs, my water starts getting cloudy and the sides of the pool get green...
Hope this helps and if it does, please rate!!!

Hi, last month we bought an intex round pool (18' x 54") with sand pump and salt sanitizer. Within the last 2 days the water started turning green. It turns out my husband accidently set the pump...

You don't want to swim in water that has algae... 1st ...Make sure you have the correct amount of salt. See you manual for amount needed. Must set you pump timer first and sync your chlorinator between that time, if pump turns off before chlorinator cycle ends, you will get an "Low flow" alarm. Set you pump timer to run 12 hours and the chlorinator for 10 to 11 of those hours and should see results within 3 days or so. After that, If you live in an area that is hot, 10 hours pump and 8 to 9 chlorinator... Hope this helps...
