Question about Pentax Optio S6 Digital Camera
I have a Pentax Optio S6 which I purchased in late 2005 I only used it a few times and it just stopped. Would not turn on. I sent it to a Pentax repairer in Brisbane who told me the circuit board needed replacing cost: $269 I told them not to worry I would buy a new one. A friend came to visit one night with a Pentax S5 and said the same thing had happened to his Pentax and that all he did was gave it a few light taps so he did the same and to my amazement the camera began to work however it keeps telling me Battery depleted and turns off, then when you press the on/off it works again for a while then turns off. I am going to buy a new battery. But I don't think this is the problem because he put the battery in his S5 camera and it said Battery was fully charged could you please tell me if this camera can be fixed without a huge cost as I loved its features and how compact it is which was why I bought it and it just amazes me that there are problems when I have hardly used it and how when you give it a little tap it works for a while. Maybe its just the battery connections or some little circuit that keeps telling it the battery is depleted when it isn't.
Thanks for any help
