I do not know how to get my webcam to allow me to video chat with family. How do I do this? It is loaded onto my device manager.? Also, can my family still see us if they do not have a camera for us to see them? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

theres not a button but on start go to all programs then Acer Crystal Eye Webcam. Simple. If on the internet on a chat or something a box should come up asking for your approval to use the webcam simply click the yes button (or approve, something like that) and then it's on.
In order for you to utilize the web cam you first have to download a piece of software that supports the web cam. And if want want to use your web cam for pics be sure the download will support that as well. Some downloads support chat and web cam only and some do both.
Check out downloads by Bison, Message Yahoo and more... Just Google what you want and see what it comes up with. I'm sure there are others out there that can help you alot better than I can, but theres a start. Good luck... BTY most of these down loads are nearly free if not 100% free
If you know which process is trying to use the web cam, kill the process in Windows Task Manager. There is a program called "Unlocker" that will assist with this as well. I would also try uninstalling it Device Manager then reboot your computer to re-detect and reinstall it. If that doesn't work, try updating the device's drivers.
First thing you need to install AOL messenger so you can enjoy chatting with your friends while you chat with them. In the AOL messenger you can start your cam. There should be an icon of the software that runs your camera on your desktop. Use that to take pictures and save on a specified file location then after that enjoy sending e-mails or chat with your friends with your cam. Let me know if you have further questions.
hi, if its a built in cam , then the driver disk will take care nof it, now for chatting, u just need to open the chat applet, there you can find or go to "My Web Cam" that doed not need any software for video chat, most of the chatt applets are smart to locate your system web cam.. let me know
