Sounds like the amps protect circuit is working, check speaker leads for shorts to ground, or the voice coil maybe shorting out in a speaker .
Check with Ohmmeter or a installer.

How do I wire external amplifier

In order for this to work correctly you need:
  1. Power wire (with fuse) from battery to amp (+)
  2. Ground wire from amp to car chassis. (-)
  3. remote-on lead from a 12V power source that turns on and off with the ignition if the head unit does not supply a wire. (switch)
  4. RCA connection from head unit to the amp. (sound in)
  5. Speaker wire connection from amp to speakers. (sound out)
It is easiest to start with deciding on the amp mounting location, and then running all the wires. Add an extra foot or so to each wire. You may discover in the process that you have to move things around due to unforeseen obstacles. This extra foot will help in that case. Always attach the ground wire to the chassis first and then to the amp first. Once you have the fused power wire from the battery installed; remove the fuse before trying to attach it to the amp. ONLY re-install the fuse once all connections to the amp are made, secure, have been checked twice and you're ready to test it.. This includes speakers. DO NOT for ANY reason have the amp powered up before attaching ALL speaker connections.

I installed a planet audio TW402 amp in my car. i put this amp last summer. when i first put it in my car with an sony xplod sub. i had a very small 12 gauge power wire and ground wire. but still it worked...

It could have to do with how your speakers are wired. If you have 2- 4 ohm speakers and they
are both wired to one terminal (RIGHT OR LEFT) on the amp, you have a 2 ohm load and most amps are rated at 4 ohms.
Go to this site and use #58 on the right sidebar to see if you are wired correctly.

The fridge trips the mains earth leakage, this occurs at least once a day

Usually this means loose connection, either at the outlet wiring, or breaker itself, take an amp draw and seee what amperage its pulling, circuit breakers that have popped get worse for it each time too, may be that too now! check wiring, amperage and breakers ability to take normal amp draws, compressor will pull 2-3 times run load amps briefly to start it up.

My brother just bought an A2300HCX and almost the same thing happen. 1 of the gauges (left side) was no movement. We tryed hooking the amp to the right side, and it works. The Left side turns out was shot, had to get it fixed. So sorry to tell you but sounds like one of the channels has internal damage. I know this isn't the good new you were wanting to hear, but hope it was helpful

My lightning adio amplifier will not turn on. i touched two wires together an now it will not power up for nothing

What it sounds like is that your blew the fuse on the amp. Not that big of deal and not too expensive. Make sure when you buy another fuse that you get the same size. If you don't know what a fuse is google either, car fuse or amplifer fuse

i would remove the amp and have it "bench tested"
see speakers surrounds if theyre foam and old and falling apart this could be it as well . check amps ground , it must be solid , see power wire to battery and check connection there and to amps it self

No sound from speakers, but there is power to amp

make sure the power wire and the remote wire have voltage. at least 12 volts. make sure the ground wire is good and has a good solid ground. after that make sure the rca cables are getting signal from the radio. if you have a small speaker or tweeter you can touch the wires from the speaker to the rca cables and it should play music very quietly. meter the subs and make sure theyre ok and not shorted or bad. if all that checks out good.... the amp is probably bad. start with all the simple stuff and work youre way up. if the amp has good power and signal and good speakers then the only thing thats left is the amp. good luck

Alpine type-r 2ohm dual voice coil help

try reconnecting your rca's from the deck to the amp when finished wire one speaker positive to positive on left channel and negative to negative on right channel then connect the 1st subwoofer. if all power and sound is fine and working turn off power to amp and connect negative terminal of 1st sub to positive on 2nd sub and positive from first sub to negative on second crossing the wires runs the speakers in series another way to try is parralel the speakers wiring by connecting positive left channel output of amp to positive on 1st sub same with the negative then splice positive to positive on second sub and same with negative.

Audio system makes extra noises... pops

Check all the wiring. It could be a loose connection since it's intermitent. Really pay attention to the power cable, both the end for the amp and the one that's going to the battery cable.
