Hi, I have a Blaupunk car stereo that I purchased about 3 or 4 years ago. sometimes all of a sudden the sound stops and it takes a few minutes for it to come back, it is connected to a 10 disc sony cd changer that does not work either and everytime I check to see if it works, it shows E-99
what could be going on with the stereo and the cd changer?
There could be a loose connection somewhere. Does the sound stops on a regular time interval or only on certain conditions? Would there be a chance that there's water leakage at the area where the CD changer is stored?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Go online to a radio codes website that do Blaupunkt models, have the serial number handy, punch in the full radio details and for a few bucks you can get the codes. Has nobody written them in the owners handbooks ? Sometimes you get a sticker with the code on when new to stick somewhere safe?

Does your car have a premium sound system? Assuming that your cd deck is fine, try connecting your remote turn on wire from the sony to the corresponding wire on the car(if you bought a wiring harness, just match colors). Also some chryslers used a ground to turn on the amps.. a black wire with a female connector as well as a heavy ground ribbon cable... connect those 2 AND the ground to your stereo to enable the amplifiers.

I have just bought a car from my aunt not too long ago. And she has this CD changer with it. I have only got it to work once, and it stopped working for no reasons. My aunt taught me to switch the radio frequency to FM 88.1, and then turn on the CD changer. It worked once, and then the next day it stopped working.
