Lawnmower lbade assembly sequence

I need the assembly ssequence for the parts on the spindle.
We tried: round nylon washer/fan/rouned blade washer/blade/square insulator/square metal "washer", then nut, but there isn't room for the nut?

Also, which orientation should the blade washer have (hat shaped in elevation)?
thanks

1. install round washer first flat side facing you.
2. round plastic washer next flat side facing the washer.
3. next step blade.
4. next step square plastic washer label facing you.
5. then the square metal washer, make it flash with the shaft flat side.
6. tighten nut by hand at first then use impact tool if you have.

How to fix a wobbly ceilng fan

wobbly cieling fan
1. make sure all mounting screws between the fan and the ceiling are tight. There is probably an electrical box mounted in the cieling that the fan is screwed into. I would turn the fan light on and then keep flipping breakers off, on at a time ,to see which breaker turns off the fan light. leave the fan light breaker off and you can unmount the fan from the cieling electrical box. The electrical box may have several holes in it for mounting screws and prehaps there are some holes left empty in the box that you can put more wood screws into to help keep the electrical box more firmly mounted and that may help lessen the wobble.
Its ok to bend the electrical wiring aside to put more screws in. Just be reasonably gentle with the wiring and then bend it back somewhat to where it was before you started. make sure that wiring does not get pinched between the fan and the electrical box and that all wiring resides inside the box.
#2 This is harder to do. you need to balance the blades for the fan ,similar to how a lawnmower blade is balanced after sharpening and before remounting the lawnmower blade on the mower. also kinda like balancing a car tire. I have a lawnmower blade balancing fixture that i bought at the lawnmower shop, but i dont know if there is a fan blade balancing fixture that you could buy from somewheres. Maybe try google.com,bing.com or ask.com and type into the search box fan blade balancer
or fan blade balancing fixture or fan blade balancing jig.
PLEASE read the directions or SPECIFICATIONS before you buy the fan blade balancer, only to find out that it only fits 9 inch diameter fan blades, and your blade is 2 4or 36 inches long.
The balancer may have to fit a certain diameter hole at the center
of the fan blade. When you finally find out which side of the fan blade is heavy, you have to grind , with an electric grinding wheel, some material off the heavy side of the blade so that it is the same wieght as the light side of the blade.
Try to imagine a cone shaped center[like step drills] like the capital letter V ,only up side down, so that the point is up. ON the underside of the inverted V is a needle tiped post that upside down V can pivot in any direction on. The hole in the middle of a lawnmower blade is centered somewheres on the outside of the inverted V, depending on the diameter of the hole in the lawnmower blade. The heavy side of the mower blade will go down and may touch the level asphault or the table top, depending on where you placed the balancing fixture. THen i would grind off metal until the heavy side can up to be level with the light side of the mower blade and it was considered balanced.
an appliance repair parts store may sell fan balancers, but if the would fit your cieling fan, better ask before you waiste your money on something that wont work for what you want.

Try calling up customer service of the manufacturor of your ceiling fan and ask about repair service for your brand fan.
see what repair service has to say, im sure many others have asked them about wobbling fans.
so they should have all the answers down pat.
Two more thoughts.
1.
.MAKE SURE ALL SCREWS THAT HOLD FAN BLADES ON TO THE HUB ARE THERE AND are TIGHT. one loose fan blade mounting screw or one missing fan blade screw will unbalance the whole thing and cause wobble.
2. the fan motor shaft bearing could be worn out or round or even egg shaped. If this is the cause, the motor must be diaassembled and new fan shaft bearings installed or the fan motor must be replaced.

good luck and have fun!

How do I replace Gateway dx4831 fan?

The plastic snoot is probably just clipped on to the fan casing which is usually screwed to the heat sink. You could probably just remove the snoot
which will allow you to see what you need to do to remove the fan. The fan can normally be cleaned and a light grease applied to the spindle.
All you have to do is remove the fan, look underneath the fan and there should be a round label with things like the voltage, current, and make of the fan etc. Remove the label and if there is one, a little rubber bung, you will see the end of the spindle. There should be a small split washer around the spindle, it sits in a little grove on the spindle to hold it in to the fan motor. It can be removed with a small blade screwdriver. Just look for the split and carefully lift one end over the end of the spindle. Keep the washer for later. Then push the spindle out using a something like a cotton bud stem with the cotton cut off the end. It will try to go back in as it has a circular magnet inside the the fan around the outside of the spindle and is attracted to the metal part of the motor with the coils on. Clean the spindle and the hole it fits in then apply a thin grease or something like silicon oil or sewing machine oil. Push the fan spindle back in, put the split washer back and make sure it sits in the groove of the spindle by gently pushing on the end to ensure it does not slide out again. Put the rubber bung back(if there is one), clean any oil / grease from where the label sits and stick the label back on, they don't always stick once they have been removed but it can be replaced with a piece of adhesive tape.

I have a Neff double oven U1721NOGB/02. I need to replace the element in the bottom oven. It would seem the fan needs to be removed as part of this process but it isn't clear how to. How do you remove...

Remove the nut and the locking washer and then stop the spindle from turning ensuring that you don't damage the thread. Then spin the fan vigorously round and round back and forth whilst pulling fan towards you until it releases or detaches from the shaft, then pull off. If you're unable to turn the fan on the central spindle, try a little WD40 ensuring you burn it off by heating the oven afterwards. Reminder: ensure you don't damgae the thread..... Rgds Damian

I have a qualcast 35s petrol lawnmower and i cant stop the blades going round when i start it it on tick over, it allways seem to be driven

Hi, first of all I would check that the cutting cylinder is correctly adjusted, i,e, just kissing the bottom blade.dont forget to re-adjust the chain. next i would remove the four engine mounting bolts and slide the engine away from the clutch drum so that you can check if the clutch shoes are binding on the spindles, if the spindles are rusty centrifugal force will throw the shoes outward to engage the drum but the springs wont be able pull the shoes back.try wd40 on the pins while trying GENTLY to revolve the shoe round the pin, hope this helps

Changing Smeg SA280X/1 fan motor, shaft nut stuck?

Most fan blades are held on by a single nut, which is usualy a left hand thread, so to unscrew it you turn it clockwise as though you are tightening it up.and to tighten it,anticlockwise..
If the spindle turns, then you will have to hold it with a pair of grips or similar.
Plz rate my solution.

Desamble a brushless fan...

Remove the label from the center of the fan.
Look inside the hole. Some have a rubber bung in the hole.
The fan is usually retained in the housing by a nylon washer with a split in it.
Get something like a really thin blade/needle and you can ease it off the fan spindle without breaking it. It sits in a groove on the fan spindle.

GE Microwave vent fan replacement.

First of all, if it's just the plastic (nylon) fan blade that's melted, most any fan blade should work. I'd take the blade and motor to a local appliance parts shop and see if they have just a blade assembly that would fit. Normally the shaft diameter is standard and the only consideration is to get a blade assy whose outside diameter and thickness are the same or a little less than the original. Concerning the original part # you gave there are 3 Samsung parts that match up on http://www.samsungparts.com : Part Number Description Specification Price DE31-10178A MOTOR-VENTILATION SMV-260UA,120V,60Hz,31 $67.78 DE31-10178B MOTOR-VENTILATION SMV-260UA-1,-,-,-,-,-, $70.09 DE31-10178E MOTOR VENTILATION SMV-260UA-N,-,-,120V60 $67.87 Lastly, if there happen to be any numbers on the blade assembly itself, you can check them to see if they're good numbers at http://www.samsungparts.com Good luck!
