Lawnmower lbade assembly sequence

I need the assembly ssequence for the parts on the spindle.
We tried: round nylon washer/fan/rouned blade washer/blade/square insulator/square metal "washer", then nut, but there isn't room for the nut?

Also, which orientation should the blade washer have (hat shaped in elevation)?
thanks

1. install round washer first flat side facing you.
2. round plastic washer next flat side facing the washer.
3. next step blade.
4. next step square plastic washer label facing you.
5. then the square metal washer, make it flash with the shaft flat side.
6. tighten nut by hand at first then use impact tool if you have.

How do I remove the spindle shaft from the spindle shaft assembly on a Craftsman 917.28907 mower deck blade pulley?

On most you cant. Some are pressed in so on those you need a press to get them out. Usually the spindle assembly is not that much more than just the spindle...and since it's assembled you don't need to worry about bearings and grease either.

When taking off the blade for replacement one side of the attachment assembly broke off. i can't figure which nuts/bolts to loosen to remove that part for replacement

The spindle assembly is usually held in place by bolts through the mower deck. The deck will need to be removed from the mower to get to them. There will be three or four of them at the base of the spindle assembly, remove these and the spindle will fall out the bottom

Loss of power when blades engaded.

Remove deck belt from blade pulleys and Tri to spin blades by hand. If they don't spin freely, you probably need new spindle bearings but if you do need a new spindle I would replace the whole spindle housing... Just make sure the one (s) you buy has housing, spindle, bearings, nut and washer.

Hi I have a Briggs and Stratton/Troy Bilt 675 series Self Propelled Lawn mower. I took the blade off for sharpening, but didn't know it had two washers. One washer is wavy in shape and the other is solid...

If the wavy washer you are describing is a locking washer, then the order of replacement would be, blade, then plain washer, then wavy washer, then bolt.
Carefull examination of the blade may indicate further how it was originally fitted, good luck, hope this helps.

The spindle with star shaped end that attaches

the reason it sheard off is because you did not put the blade on right.
you have to hold blade in position untill you turn nut all the way up and make sure blade has the star part in the blade when you tighten it.
you have to buy a new shaft most come with the lower bearing on them.

A row of uncut grass left between blaces when mowing

THE answer that FINALLY worked for me. Torque the bolt that holds on the blade to the recommended torque specified in your owners manual (for my Exmark this torque is 120 ft-lbs). When I first used the torque wrench, i was quite surprised by the amount of addional force I needed to apply to reach 120 ft-lbs Exmark blades have a round blade hole with a washer and therefore, relies only on friction provided by torquing bolt to the proper torque to prevent slippage so that the blade rotates at the same speed as the spindle. When slippage between the blade and spindle occurs, blade tip speed slows leaving uncut grass.
Note: this solution will NOT work for mowers with a blade and spindle design which uses a positive means (e.g., a star shaped hole on the blade) that assures the blade rotates at the same speed as the spindle with no slippage.
