Ipod dream Time click radio

Recently purchased isound Dream Time Speaker system & Alarm Clock for iPod. System shuts down after a few minutes of playing and ipod shows "charged" screen. This repeatedly happens. Not sure if it is a defective item or human error. Both isound and dreamgear websites all have WARNINGS that these websites may harm your computer. I called and left messat at the 888 number on the pamhlet with no call back. I am concerned about this company and question if I should return this product to the business for refund.
