Question about HP Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I just bought a laptop, a HP pavillon entertainment PC and now the product code won't allow me to register it to function. I am not computer savvy and I need some help to start it up. My product code is 33kfb-gcgcg-tt4fv-dr7yb-3qtp9, could you have given more numbers to this device???? I would appreciate a call to help me solve the problem. Eleanor Duffy #604-533-9412

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

If you bought this at the date, you can return it under warrantee which is a year and get a replacement.

New computer

either go to the vendors website or contact the vendor directly to register. example: Call Hp if you own a HP product, call Dell if you own a dell. Most times, when you turn your product on for the first time it asks you to register it if you have an active internet connection. You can do that as well

Hello,

I think you may have been at the wrong site. Here is the HP registration site:

HP Registration

Just enter your product name and/or model number and click Search.

This is not HP. This is a tech support site that helps with a wide variety of problems and products.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Laptop Touchpad - cursor random dragging problem

On my acer all I have to do is press function F7, Function is the button with 'Fn' on it. I am not sure if that works for HP, but its worth a try. Also, is there a switch near the touchpad? Sometimes there is one that switches the touch pad on and off. You can also try other Fn(function) F1 or Fn F2 etc. and see if one of the other "f" buttons work.  I hope this helps, let me know how you made out. Good Luck!

I have taken the Product Key from the sticker on my laptop which I bought at the beginning of January 2008. Whenever I try to register my products, I get a message that this is an invalid code. I am...

The code you have typed if for Vista Operating System from Microsoft. If Vista will ask for product key code then this key will be valid. Other than its valid for any one else product.

So, please can you tell me where you try to use this product key?

Thanks
Iqbal

Broken HP Pavillon dV6000

Explain, (endured a hit). Electrical or physical?
For the hard drive (a clicking sound means a spindle problem). Suggest you get a new drive if it's no longer under warranty. Once you install a new drive you can slave your old bad drive into the system & pull your data off it before it stops working.

As for the laptop it's better off with a pro.
