Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

Black box problems.

Ok, my xbox has never encountered problems, untill I moved it to another room. I didnt figure it would make much of a difference but It may of, but I dont see how because there's no major differences between them. The black box which connects to the power and to the xbox, that has a large label on it saying something like 6 volts, is not working properly. The plug seems to be disconnecting a lot of the time or something as the light which should normally be yellow, keeps switching from yellow to black whenever I put it on a surface and move it. It worked once in the morning, but it was still being a bit funny, and switching of when i moved it just a little. Now its just impossible to get  started of anything. Any help, I would be extremely greatful, wanna get started playing A.S.A.P

My console plays my games, but there is a full red ring? what does this mean?

OUCH! You have the red ring of death! Did you by chance have xbox on it's side for a long period of time instead of flat? If so, that's why. They say there made to do this, just like the old ps2's, It a load of ****. The laser lens circuit will need to be replaced. If you didn't have it on it's side, then you have a bad graphics chip, or cold solder joints, or the motherboard is shot.

Black screen with white bots on screen.(Xbox 360)

It's probably just the red ring, you can fix that with almost ALL 3 red ring fixes.

Cause there both CAUSED by the motherboard shifting.

Google PENNY TRICK, it doenst always work UNTIL the box is completely screwed back in.

Xclamp trick. Google taht too, it costs money for the kit, but it works like everytime and there are TONS of tutorials online for it.

AC Adapter has a blinking orange light...

Try moving everything to a different room on a different electrical circuit (as in electric panel outside your house). You might have too much load on that circuit for the plugs in that room. You could try unplugging everything except tv and xbox too.

Make sure your using the right plugs and if you have to move ur tv make sure its not getting pulled out, hd tvs are tricky, took me almost an hour to do it with the same problem, i ended up just trying a bunch of different ones and it ended up working.

Unplayable disc

Your system is fine, the disk is a different story. By moving your Xbox 360 the drive does some funky things. The disk probably has some deep grooves around the egde. In future, dont move the 360 or backup your xbox 360 games with http://www.everything4360.com Support Rich
