I want to wireless print to my HP 2610 printer through an Airport express router using Windows xp. When I attempt to install the driver I get a message that a printer cannot be detected on the network...

First install the Printer with USB connectivity.
Then insert the printer driver CD again. You will get the Add a Device option this time on the Welcome Screen.

Select it. Now before you continue, just add the exceptions to the firewall list.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c01545804
Perform the steps given on the above document to add the exceptions to firewall.

Then Make a right click on My Computer Icon on your desktop.
Go to Hardware Tab. Select Device Mananger.
Go to View Tab on Device manager and select Show Hidden Devices.
Then search for Multifunction Adapter. Uninstall the printer icon under it.
Now click on Add a Device.
Try installing now.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
Things You'll Need: · Wireless print server
· USB printer
· Ethernet cable
· Computer
1. Step 1
Obtain a wireless print server that is compatible with both your wireless network and your printer. While the printer’s documentation may not explicitly say that it is compatible with a print sever, many are compatible, and this can be verified by checking the website of the print server’s manufacturer. If you have a multifunction printer, only the print function will work with most wireless print servers, though a few have recently added support for scanning and the printer’s other functions.
Step 2 Read all of the documentation that came with the wireless print server. The manual will detail the specifics of the installation routine.
Step 3 Connect the printer to the wireless print server via the USB cable. Connect the print server’s Ac adapter and turn the unit on.
Step 4 Connect an Ethernet cable between the wireless print server and your computer. This will be used for the initial setup only.
Step 5 Insert the CD supplied with the print server into your CD-Rom drive. Start the software if it does not start automatically. The application will walk you through the installation process, which includes setting the unit’s IP address, setting an access password, configuring it to connect to the wireless network, installing the drivers that allow the print server to use the printer and installing the print drivers on your computers.
Step 6 Choose how your print server will be addressed. Most units are set up to use dynamic addressing by default, which means that your wireless router will assign an IP address to it. This allows the server to be easily installed on the network, but it also means that the IP address of the printer may change over time. The other option is to assign a static IP address to your print server. This option is more reliable, because the print server will always use the same IP address, making it easier for the computers to find the printer and easier to access the print server’s online configuration application. If your router has the IP address of 192.168.0.1, for instance, set the print server to something like 192.168.0.2 or 192.168.0.3, as long as another device does not use that address.
Step 7
Set a password to be used to access the unit’s online configuration application.
Step 8 Configure the print server to access your wireless network. Give it the same SSID network name as your router and set it to use the same wireless channel. If encryption is used on the router, enable encryption on the print server, and enter the encryption key or password.
Step 9 Follow the instructions given by the print server’s software for installing printer drivers on the unit.
Step 10
Disconnect the Ethernet cable and allow the unit to connect via the wireless network.
Step 11 Install the printing drivers on each computer that will use the printer.
Step 12 Access the print server’s online configuration application to verify all settings by entering the IP address of the unit into a web browser, using the “http://192.168.0.2” format. Enter the administrator name and password.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Cannot print over network on Dell AIO 962 using Dell 3300 wireless print adapter. Previously had no problem printing over the network, but for some reason my linksys WRT54G router reset to defaults so I...

Dell 3300 Wireless Printer adapter has always been a hard nut to crack. To begin with, completely remove the printer drivers from your computer using the utility http://ftp.us.dell.com/printer/R166248.zip .Then download and save the latest version of your printer drivers and the wireless adapter utility from the support website. Use this file for the installation rather than the CD that was shipped along with the printer. Use the link: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=&SystemID=PRN_ALL_A962 . Reset the wireless printer adapter by disconnecting all cables, pressing and holding the Reset button at the back of the adapter using a paper clip for almost 10 seconds and plugging in the power cord back in while the reset button is still pressed. All lights will flash for a while and then the wireless light will go stable. Now follow the steps to install your printer and adapter described in the link: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?c=us&cs=19&dl=false&l=en&s=dhs&docid=756E3AC8B96309EDE040AE0AB8E10ABF&doclang=en

It will not turn on

I have to ask.......
Power cord plugged in correctly?
Power coming out of the wall outlet? Try a lamp or radio to be sure.
Is the power adapter cord fully seated in the printer?
Can you chesk the power adapter with a mutimeter to be sure there is voltage at the printer end of the cord?
Sorry to ask such normal questions, just making sure.

You may also try this
Resetting to factory defaults
You can reset your printer to the original settings without using the printer menus. NOTE: Resetting to factory default settings will delete all the printer settings you have previously selected.

Step 1
Make sure the printer is not in Power Saver mode. Press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn off the printer. If you have set the Power Saver timeout in the Setup menu, press and hold the power button according to the time you set in the menu.

Step 2
From the printer control panel, press and hold the green button and the red X, and then press the power button to turn the printer on.

Trying to connect printer to computer wireless

  1. Step 1 Check if your printer is network ready. Many newer models are designed to work on networks. Examine the documentation to see if your printer supports Wi-Fi (802.11x) or Bluetooth.
  2. Step 2 Add network support to your printer. If your printer is not already wireless you can connect it to a wireless routermag-glass_10x10.gif using the RJ-45 Jack (it resembles a large telephone jack). You can also buy an expansion card that will add a jack or buy an external print server that will connect to the USB or parallel port.
  3. Step 3 Connect your printer to the network. If your printer is not wired, you’ll have to connect it directly to your wireless router. Connect a networking cable from the RJ-45 Jack on the printer (or adapter) to the router. Plug it into any jack except the UPLINK. The printer should automatically connect to the network when turned on.
  4. Step 4 Install printer drivers on all computers. Using the disc that came with the printer or drivers downloaded from the manufacturer, install the printer’s drivers onto each computer on the network.
  5. Step 5 Print. You should be able to access the printer just like any other wireless device. Select the printer from the Print menu when you print.
  6. Share Your Printer in Windows
  7. Step 1 Install the printer. Set up the printer as normal on a machine that is already connected to the wireless network. Connect all necessary cables and install all necessary drivers.
  8. Step 2 Open the printers and faxes folder. Click "Start," then "Control Panel," then "Printers and Other Hardware" and then "Printers and Faxes."
  9. Step 3 Share your printer. Find the icon for the printer you just installed. Click the icon once and then select SHARE THIS PRINTER in the tasks pane on the left. Now, right click the icon, select properties and go to the SHARING tab. Click "Share Name," and then click "Okay."
  10. Step 4 Connect to the printer. On the other computers within the network, open the control panel and click "Printers and Other Hardware." Select "Add a Printer."
  11. Step 5 Select "Printer Connection." When prompted, select this option instead of the local printer. Find and select the printer you just installed and select it.
  12. Step 6 Print as normal. Next time you print a page, send it to your networked printer.

Hope this Help.

Cheers!!!!

Cannot change page orientation.

Hey there PoBoy,

When you upgraded to Vista home premium, did you do an Upgrade? Or a fresh install. If you threw in the CD and did an upgrade, that will actually keep your current files but upgrade the OS. Reason why I'm asking, is because you may have driver conflicts going on.

Try removing the drivers you've installed for this product. You may find them in the Add/Remove software list.

Once removed, install the fresh driver you got from Samsung.

If this isn't the case, I would attempt to plug the printer directly into your Vista PC to double check that it's nothing to do with the LAN connections at all. It's just best to rule out every possibility when troubleshooting.
