I cleaned my Bialetti Moka Express 6-Cup Coffee Maker with warm soap and water, but it began to detoerate/rust. I tried to just boil water in it, dump the water, and repeat the process until I stopped seeing little flecks of burnt looking metal come out in the water. It still had the little flecks coming out after many repetitions. I gave up and bought a Bialetti Moka Express 6-Cup Coffee Maker, but I am now unsure how to clean it because the instructions did not come with the package. How do I clean it without it ending up like the first one? Should I just rinse it out with water and wipe it dry?
Hi - I just clean mine with hot water (no soap), and dry it with a towel then leave it on the window sill... My problem is that the coffee can taste a bit metallic at times; and i want to know if I should be cleaning it after every time I use it... Suggestions?
