    Same problem.
My New Hardware installation wizard appears to be loading it properly, but then it prompts me to start all over. It never installs it.
I returned one P2 and exchanged it for another one. Same problem. I want to make it work because it appears to be a killer Mp3 player, but for now all I have is an expensive FM radio.

The New Hardware Wizard runs, appears to be loading the Drivers, etc, but upon completion I'm prompted to click FINISH and then the Found New Hardware Wizard pops up again like it did before.
I really appreciate your efforts.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Possible that the player is not detecting due to some conflicts in the software, try to see if the player has a software to be installed into the PC for detection.

http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200806/20080616094240875_YPS3J-USA-ENGLISH0.0.pdf

Click on the link to download the manual.
Next click on this link to download samsung's program for the player.

----> http://www.samsung.com/global/products/mp3/fmgr/Emodio_Setup.exe <---

You will have to copy into a new tab. Takes you right to the file.
Be sure you have Media player 10 or 11 installed in your computer.

I lost my driver of samsung yepp YP-700, can you able to solve the issue.

Download again on www.audio-mania.co.uk
its on there somewhere.

Alt. If you cannot find it, get driver detective. Search download and install it!

Plug in you mp3 player and leave it in. Driver detective will scan and update driver for you! Warning this is not free. It will cost £18 to unlock the software for unlimited use!

Recovery firmware

Rooss,
It seems that your player needs an update, and to do that you need to do as it's telling you. Sync it with the PC/MAC that you load/edit it with and as long as that Computer has an internet connection the software included with the player should detect the player (That's if you installed the Samsung software?) and download the latest Firmware for your player and guide you through updating it.
I hope that helps, and Good Luck.

Installation

i read somewhere that the ypk3 doesnt work properly with mediaplayer11 installed. im having a similiar problem at the moment and im trying to figure out how to uninstall mp11 completely. there is also a service that needs to be running in order for the player to be detected by mediaplayer or any other software that supports playforsure - 'Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework'. the service appears as 'WudfHost.exe' in taskmanager. if you cant detect your player with mediastudio but it does appear in explorer, as a workaround you can still copy and paste your music folders directly to the player that way.

Dvd rom detecting problem

You need to find what DVD reading and CD and also DVD burning software you had, then download versions of the programs compatible with Win 98--then they should work fine. Your CD/DVD drives will be ignored until you get the correct burning software installed. Go t Samsung, which hopefully will have the appropriate downloads for Win98. If Samsung no longer has what you need, find any software for Win98 such as Roxio, or hopefully freeware, and you should be back in business.

Not detected by computer - cannot recharge battery

yay I found a solution! so I kept getting the error about an MTP device, so I did a big search. I am running vista on a 32 bit processor. what you need to download is the MTP installation programme from windows. so click on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939211
and then just select what processor speed you need. should do the trick! I also downloaded http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A2E73160-E862-4F19-BB26-C0CAFE798955&displaylang=en initially, but it didn't appear to work. hope that you all get to the bottom of this frustrating problem :)
