Inpect the computers preexisting operating systems to ascertain compartibility to windows XP. Only XP computers would recognise XP operatign systems. Attemptign to install windows XP onto alternate system either windows 98, 2000, mellanuim or Vista XP or 7 is least achieveable unless the old system were erased or new empty storage disk drive were acquired and replaced.

Hi, when updating service packs; it is important in most cases to have the service pack prior to the one you want to download. “In your case; Service Pack 2.” if you are having trouble, check your computer “Basic Info” in the control panel. Check for updates; reinstall service pack 3. Thanks paul7of9

Hardly seen image on my laptop monitor

It's very easy. Try it yourself: Press the key "Fn", and look for a key that have a little sun and a upper arrow. If you can't do it yourself, then ask a PC Service Shop, to adjust the Brightness, that is adjusted with the keyboard.
The Service won't take you money.

Good Luck :)

The system won't boot up and I keep getting a keyboard error that says I need to replace my keyboard

1)chect to make sure a keyboard is in the PS2 port or usb, whichever you are used to. 2)if your computer gets past this screen but does not boot, you will need to reinstall your OS, but this will delete all your data. if your keyboard problem persists, get a different keyboard with the connector you usually use.

Compaq presario v5000 keyboard error 0211

I think that possibly the keyboard isn't completely plugged in. Several things to try.

1] re-seat the keboard
2] swap keyboards with a 'known' good one [swa[ back is ok as well]

These 2actions should narrow done the issue, I have gotten replacement keyboards at re-sale for $3.00
