Just bought the ViviCam X014. Installed batteries and SD card. The camara will turn on and the LED screen will illuminate (becomes white) but that's about all the thing will do. No image appears in the LED screen. I cannot zoom in, or out, and pressing the Mode button (or any button for that matter) does nothing. There was no user manual with the camara, just the basic quick start guide, which has provided no information on what to do. What am I missing?

Are these regular batteries or rechargeables? Are they fully charged? If they are regular batteries that came with the camera, test them to be sure they didn't die in the packaging. If all fails, return the camera.

Insert Batteries Where on Vivitar VimiCam X014N?

Do you mean the Vivitar ViviCam X014N? If so, the battery compartment is on the right hand side as you look back of the camera with the view screen and menu buttons. The cover on the battery compartment will rotate up from the bottom of the camera when opened. This is shown in the manual although it isn't completely clear. The current link to the manual for the ViviCam X014 is http://www.vivitar.com/files_products/445/ViviCam_X014_Camera_Manual.pdf . See pages 3-4 for the pictures of the battery compartment location. Note: the N suffix refers to the case color. The manual applies to any ViviCam X014.

I hope this helps.

Vivicam X014 how do i dowmload pictures from my vivitar vivicam X014

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

When wii is turned on the start screen that shows the remot and asks to hit a comes up in three different languages can not move pass that? Remotes not responding

try syncing your remote by doing the following (and make sure batteries are good)
  1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.

  2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up.

  3. Press and release the SYNC button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the Player LED will blink. Quickly press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the SD Card compartment on the console.

  4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).

The Vivitar ViviCam X014 keeps stating Memory Full, Insert a SD Memory Card to Transfer and Take More Than One Test Photos. It has a new memory card in it, but I am unable to figure out how to make this...

You have one or more pictures on the camera's internal memory and it won't let you use the memory card. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"....follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. After that, your card should work properly.

My vivitar vivicam 8025 has been charging for a while and it wont turn on with out the charger . when connected to the charger and turned on it says MSDC on a blue screen.

Make sure the battery is in the camara correctly. I had the problem with the blue screen and MSDC showing and it would not hold a charge. the battery has to be in correctly. It will go in wrong and look right so match up the silver three marks on the battery to the three marks inside the camara where the battery goes. It worked after i did that. Hope this helps!!!

Vivitar ViviCam X014 will not turn on. Memory

Buy a real camera. X014 is cheap and has a foggy cheap lens. It will never take a good quality picture. It is a waste of a 10 megapixel chip!
