Bosch fabric softener does drain (by 4 users)

Bosch front load WFMK6400UC washing machine. Wife adds fabric softerner to the cup, and it just sits there. Never goes into the machine during the cycle. Cup stays full all of the time.

I have the same problem with my GE front load washer. The fabric softner does not drain into the washer when the rinse cycle activates. This just started about two weeks ago. We've had the washer since 12/07. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem! I can't seem to find any solution online. The softener just sits there and never gets diluted with clean water. Is there a fix without calling a $100 per hour repair guy?
