ok first you go to the store and buy a computer how to book then come back here and ask a question that relates to your computer problem otherwise no one can help you based on that information
unplug the computer from the wall, open up the case and pull the small circular watch battery out of the motherboard, wait for about 15-20 minutes and put the watch battery back, plug the computer back in and restart
Simple! RESET your BiOS by disconnecting the backup memory BATTERY!
Wait for a couple of minutes!
Restart ur DESKTOP, enter the BiOS and set ur settings!
Turn it off, put the battery... start ur DESKTOP again!

Either your friend is playing a nice trick on you or she isnt a friend at all. She has entered the bios on your system and passworded it.....lol sorry had to. There is a 3 jumper switch on the motherboard right next to the backup battery which you can reset to remove password but maybe just tell her the jokes over. If you need more help get back to me its easy enough to sort out but dont play around if u not sure i'll help ya....cheers from Scott
If you are trying to get passed the windows password, you will need a copy of Hirens boot disc, then go into Bios and make the unit boot from CD/ DVD drive. reboot machine.Then run the program "active password changer v3", select account you want the password wiped from, "Administrator" press enter. there is now no password on the Administrator account.
