The drain hose is too far down the drain. Pull out excess hose from drain and leave only 8 to to 12 inches. Using zip tie or other method, secure drain hose to water hoses to prevent drain hose from jumping out.

I have standing water in drum every morning.

Without further information, I can offer three possible issues:
1. The fill value is furred up and is not fully closing (diagnose this by turning off the water after use at the isolator valve - and if no water is getting into the drum overnight, then it is a filling problem and you needn't read on - as opposed to a draining problem in which case read on!)
2. If you have a long drain hose running along the back of kitchen units, perhaps it is running back into the machine
3. Have you installed anything else into the same drainage pipes - such as a waste disposal unit or another appliance - that may be pushing water down the drain so fast, that some returns into other connected appliances?
Good luck

Drum fill with water

If your machine outlet pipe is connected to the sink trap (many are these days) it could simply be that water from the sink is draining into the washer if it is connected like this ensure that where the outlet pipe leaves the the trap it goes up and does not run level or down if the water in the is dirty this is the problem failing this water vavles are passing water when the machine is off

My used Kenmore washer fills with water then the water level drops downto about the half way level in drum. I just bought it used and installed it yesterday. Could the water be siphoning out into drain...

It sounds as if it is siphoning out the drain pipe. You have to get the drain pipe up to the top of the washer and also be sure that the pipe is a little bigger than the drain hose or it will siphon. Hope this helps.

Whirlpool Duet Washer Leaking

Hi, If you are getting water in the washer without it running, the inlet mixer valve is going bad. When you run a load, does it finish spinning and all the water is out? I hope this helps you. It is not an expensing repair. I can walk you through the repair if you would like.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks
Vic

Water accumulates inside the washer

i guess you have washer drain pipe plumbed into a spigot on the sink trap. if so, when you empty sink, some of the water goes down the washer drain pipe and ends up filling your machine.
to cure, take the drain pipe as high up as possible under the sink in a swan neck and that should cure it. its a common problem
