Seems that my unit will no longer play more than one dvd. if more than one are in, it just says loading on and on and then won't open to remove the other dvd until I power down and power back up again.

My name is Gary from Bogue Engineering and I would be happy to help you. I own a store on eBay and I sell mostly electronics for Home Theater systems. I do have a HT-P38 center speaker if you would like to buy it. It is Used and I can sell it to you for only $10 plus shipping and that depends on where you live. You can reach me at email@example.com Thanks, Gary
A lot of electronics equipment these days are designed to **** out prematurely. The replacement parts (if you can find them) are usually priced so high that it is cheaper to buy new. Of course, that's what they want you to do. So, the only real solution is to go buy another unit and hope it lasts, or take the time and money to build yourself a good system. If you decide to buy new, before buying go to Google and type in the product name and number and follow it the words like "reviews", or "problems"
If you want know how to choose components for a good system, post back here, I'll be glad to help you.
Our started doing the same thing about a week after the warranty ran out. It has to do with the alignment of the discs being loaded. here's a work-around that works for us: Open the tray Choose which disc you are going to watch and use the Change Disc button to push the selected disc to the back (ie, if you want to view Disc 1, discs 3 and 4 will be visible in the tray). Look down the center holes of discs 3 and 4... manually move your tray left-or-right to align the holes with the tray. Push the Direct Play button on the top right of the unit for your disc of choice (Disc 1 using the example above).
hope that helps... I've searched for a while and played around with the unit (with and without the cover on) trying to figure out a way to re-align the tray, but no luck.
cheapest and most logical start to the solution is to replace the optical block. looks like its focal point is drifting at a certain temp.almost impossible to pick up that problem without having that problem before. if i can advise, when you recieve the new part, unsolder the small bridgepiece that they put in for protection. if you dont, the unit will never work.
