How do I upgrade my bios for toshiba laptop ?

Why do you want to update the BIOS of your laptop? Be careful about updating your BIOS because it might cause your computer to crash.

Or are you trying to update the drivers in your computer?

If you are having some issues with its performance, then you need to update all the outdated drivers in your computer. I know that it's a total headache if you do the update manually but don't worry because there are Automatic PC Updater like RadarSync. It will scan and update all outdated drivers in your computer.

I hope this helps!

Sir my inspiron laptop b130, intel pentium processor 1.70 mhz 598 mhz, it is suitable for upgration r not? ram 1gb. 40 gb hard disk.? I need 2 gb ram and 500gb usb hard disk for oracle applications...

Max RAM for that system is 2GB
http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Inspiron%20B130&Cat=RAM

The question is whether there are 500GB hdds for that system. The largest PATA HDD I found was 320 GB
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4600076&CatId=2675

and there is no guarantee the BIOS will recognise a HDD that large as PATA HDDs require BIOS support for the drive size where SATA HDDs will pretty much work.
My recommendation is to retire this system and BUY a new one.

For Windows Vista to work : It requires minimum 2.0 ghz processor, 1 gb RAM and 60-80GB hard disk.

For Windows 7 : It requires minimum processor 3.0 ghz, 1 gb RAM and 60-80 GB hard disk.

Otherwise, your operating system or hardware problem will occur.

I am having hp 530 laptop with intel core duo inside,512mb RAM,80 gb hard disk.I want to upgrade my processor, ramand hard disk. can i do it ? upto what limit ?

Unfortunately I would have to say no, you won't be able to upgrade the processor. I located a user manual at

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12722_na/12722_na.PDF

According to specifications you can increase the Ram to 2 MB and the hard drive should be a 120GB hard driver Sata

System Memory 1024-MB 533/667-MHz DDR2 SDRAM in one slot
Two SODIMM slots; supported memory 2048 MB2
Operates at a maximum of 533-MHz with 667-MHz memory
Hard Drive 120-GB3 5400 rpm SMART SATA

The processor will be limited to what the motherboard can support and it was designed for that 1.6 Ghz processor. Unfortunately it is very difficult to upgrade processors in laptop machines. I do have to ask how old this machine is. The specification indicates MegaBytes of ram and this is actually very little Ram in today's computing world. Most machines support at least 2 gigaBytes of Ram to start with.

I have Acer laptop Aspire 5570z module Zr1 with memory 1GB I want to increase memory 2GB or 3GB Is it possible or not What will be the expenditure?

Your laptop's RAM is upgradeable to up to 4 GB using two DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM modules.

So your upgrade options here are:
1. Buy a 1 GB DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM module & install it to get a total RAM of 2 GB (Price around US$ 25).
2. Buy a 2 GB DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM module & install it to get a total RAM of 3 GB (Price around US$ 45).

Hello , I just bought an 80 gb hdd. I installed it to a MS 6119 ver 1.2 bx2 board, but its not picking in bios. But with Winxp it picks up when I start up the pc with xp cd, it picks up the 80 gb hard disk...

Hi,

I am ArmyMason and I believe the issue is the hard drive is too large for the system you have. That board is old and back in the day they didnt support large hard drives. You could try using a boot disk and partition the hard drive into 20 GB drives and see if that works.

Link to specs.

Thanks ArmyMason

ASUS P4S533 mother board not supporting full 160 gb

This is happing becuase of your motherboards BIOS !
Really, this happened to me too. You see, our motherboards which are very old cant support above 80 and so on. This is beacuse of the BIOS. You will need to update your BIOS inorder to give new features.

Try go to the Asus home page and download the latest driver for your motherboard. Then install it in your motherboard's BIOS. There is intructions for this in the Asus's home page.
