I can phone out but i dont hear nothing and there is a headset icon on the screen that wasnt there before

you have headset problem you should contact with mobile enger. and 2nd thing check your profile on the mobile

That's the problem, The phone is sending the voice to your headset, You need to unpair it and see if that works.

open headset port, push down on square connector, cover port and it will be gone

This means that your phone thinks the headset is connected and so the sound is routed to the headphone jack. This is usally caused by water damage or dirt. put some 91% alcohol on a toothbrush and clean the connectors at the buttom of your phone. The headset icon always appear in my nokia n70 and cannot remove and when i connect my headset ... it doesn't work . with or without headset the headset icon always appear in my screen .

maybe you had your phone wet on the bottom part where the headset is to be plugged in. bring it to the nearest repair shop for the just to clean the metal contacts then, your icon will be gone

My Nokia gets that little headset icon when I turn on my bluetooth. Try going into the phone settings and make sure bluetooth is turned off.
