Plug the flash drive in the USB 2.0 socket on the computer
Open my computer
You will find a removable drive next to your cd/dvd drive
Open it and you can copy and paste your data or pictures on it.

SD card not recognized. Card has pictures from my Canon camera. Attempting to put the pictures from the card to my sister's Compaq Presario SR2050NX Desktop. I put it in the SD drive and nothing...

The driver for the SD card slot may not be installed.
The other option is to insert your SD card into a USB card reader and then connect it to the USB port on the computer. This computer will see this as an external USB storage device and then you can copy and paste the images into the computer.

Tower powers up but monitor says "no signal" keybord and mouse doesnt work ????

Does the keyboard initialize?
If it does, (the caps lock/num lock lights flas, then the system seems to be working. In thet case, check the connection to the monitor then check the VGA board. If it doesn't initialize, you probably have a mother board fault.
Hope this helps.

Increasing the Hard disk capacity

Welcome to FixYa, my name is Steve. If you are adding a hard drive you need slave that drive to your existing hard drive. The hard drive manufacturer may have an installation program but normally you only need go to your BIOS setup and see if the hard drive capacity id displayed along with the options available there for LBA, etc. The description of your problem only mentions BIOS capacity but leaves me wondering what the present problem you face really is. I will help with more information. Steve Medley

You will either need an external cd rom or transfer all of your music and pictures onto a flash drive using a different computer.

How to set hard drive jumpers

a common hard drive jumper setting if its an ide sata, when you look behind the hard drive, you can see there are 4 places where you can set the jumpers...

there is cable select which you dont havce to put any jumpers at all. there is slave to which you may put 1 jumper there. and there is also master which sometimes is a single drive. any indication should be seen there above the jumpers which is indicated as MA- master, SL- slave CS - cable select.

I need to find out how many pictures can be stored on a 1GB PNY attache usb flash drive cuz i have like 20o on there now and it says it's full

It all depends on the size of the pictures, if you have 200 on there now then they are likely to be around 5 Mb each. Try reducing the resolution of pictures taken, they won't be as big.  You can also use a program like Gimp to reduce the size of your photos:
http://www.gimp.org
It is a great free image editor very similar to Photoshop. If you can reduce your photos to 1 Mb or less you can hold over 1,000 pictures on your 1 GB flash drive.
