Question about Minka Concept II Flush 44 Ceiling Fan by Aire

1 Answer

Concept II Hi - I have 4 concept II ceiling fans in my home. All fans operate using wall ceiling fan switches (one for fan and one for light). All remotes were missing when I bought the home. Is there a way to reverse the fans direction w/o using a remote? Any tricks/tips would be greatly appreciated! Clint

Depending on what year the fan was made try looking very close at the actual body of the fan. you may find a small switch you can manually use to reverse the direction of the blades.. I may have some used working remotes that will work with your fan if you like please feel free to contact me at payitforwardx2 @ gmail . com .

It comes with a hand held remote. Unless you have the compatible wall transmitter, you'll only be able to use the hand-held remote. The switch on the wall has to be on for the remote to work.

The remote controls the fan speed but wont dim or control the light. the unit wont work if the light switch is off so I cant use the fan at all unless the light is turned on

mcdevito75 here, Generally the Ceiling fan motor is hooked up by-passing the wall switch but still to the hot laed going to the wall switch whlie the lights are hooked up to the hot lead after the wall switch, So without the remote, Manually operate your fan and lights. First with the wall switch off the fan should work and the lights no work. Now turn the fan off with the pull chain on the fan shroud close to the ceiling. Now turn wall switch on and lights should work with wall switch and the fan should also work. if so, re-program the remote or change the batteries or even re--place the remote.

The red and white should be hot all the time for the fan to run even when the light is not in use. The black and white wires are used for the switch on the wall to turn the light on. Hope this helps.
