Check for a paper jam. I just encountered this same error on my Brother MFC-290C, and that was the cause. I had to unplug the printer's power cable to clear the error message.

Follow the instructions correctly during the set up process , if failed installation cannot take its form.......

if you are using windows 7 then download the latest drivers form brother website......

Alright, i have to tell you, this is a really bad post. You gave me nothing for information. But from what information i can gather, it could be error number 50. on a brother DCP-145C. Heres the problem with brother printers. They are cheap to buy initially, but break and can't be fixed easily without being a "Certified brother technician".

Either way. I think you have to replace the logic board on the unit, possibly. Possibly check the connections and use sand paper and undo some connections sand the copper, and put them back in. Logic board will likely run you over a hundred, if you need to replace the fuser, thats over 100 again. Expensive repair. If it had been an HP printer, i could have explained it thoroughly, i'm sorry i can't be of more help.

There will still be some scrap of paper in the machine. Get a torch and get in there. It's the only way, unless you call tech guy
