I have the same problem. Mid button use is erratic and not useful when you are trying to pan between other commands on cad. Its almost as if you have to press the mid button down then shift it to one side to 'click' the autoscroll part of the button for the command to work, very annoying!

I got the MS Natural Wireless mouse 6000 andI'm still looking for the solution for this because I can't believe I spent so much money in a bleeding microsoft product to find out it is a huge piece of **** that is worse than cheap mouses.

Such an expensive product could not have this awful scroll click bug that can't be solved. The mouse shape is fine but the scroll button delay would be funny if it wasn't tragic.

I buy Ms Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 4000 and same thing happend...try to put a mouse of another brand, navigate to a large txt document in notepad.exe and presss scroll. Now place MS mouse and do same thing. Put eyes in cursor, this delay exist when you use MS mouse in notepad! In this software, we don't see and fell this easily, but, i belive, about nature of the Autocad, user can be bored with this delay. (Excuse for poor english).

Assign a keystroke to the mouse, in this instance I assigned 'p' for pan (as per the .pgp file short cuts etc) against the scroll wheel click.

Click the scroll wheel, 'p' comes up on the cad screen, right click to confirm then the pan icon appears, hold the left mouse button and drag at your leisure. Yet to find a fix for Inventor.

Not ideal, but better than nothing at presnt.

Pairing code for Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000

Not really a code, just first press button on top of your receiver and then the button on the bottom of the mouse. The receiver LED should stay green when they are connected. If this does not happen check that you are using IntelliPoint Mouse Software. See more:

Can not get Microsoft 5000 wireless mouse to Pan in AutoCAd 09

Do you use the "hold middle click" way of panning? If so, check that in the Windows Ctrl Panel under Mouse, that the scroll wheel is set for middle click. Why this is not default on all new mice I do not know!

The wireless mouse works but the laser 5000

press connect on the wireless device...let go and then within 5 seconds press the button on the bottom of the keyboard. Repeat the same steps for the mouse whther its working or not. The problem usually is that the keyboard and mouse are on the same "Wireless Channel" and only resyncing them puts them on a seperate channel, hope this helps.
