Your camera might not be set to the right setting. Also, plug the cord into the computer and camera before turning the camera on. If you have the driver disc, use it, otherwise go to driverguide.com and search for your respectable drivcer for xp. Also, the connector cord or port on the camera may have gone bad. Do the USB ports on the computer work with other items? Try a different usb cord. Also make sure the batteries are full.

Hope this helps.

Remeber warranty helps.

I have xp pro and my phillips webcam works on yahoo and windows live but will not work on skype.skype says it needs a driver to use it,help please..thanks...

All you can do is to try and find a later driver or maybe download an earlier version of Skype.

Connect your cam
> Start > Control Panel > Classic View > Device Manager - Open the 'Imaging file' - Right click on the text of your webcam and select Internet when prompted - Wait and see if a later driver is available.

Ever since I installed the Philip's Webcam software and particularly clicking on the vlounge icon on my desktop I can not connect to the internet. I called my ISP and they said I have a good strong...

I would first uninstall the Web Cam and see ifthe internet returns to normal and works. If it works okay, then I'd contact Phillips and see if they have an answer to the problem. Hope this is of some help. Bud

NOT WORKING

Did you have the camera connected before you installed the software program? If you did, disconnect the camera from the USB port and reinstall the software program, and when the program asks you to connect the camera, do so and it should work.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

Having problems with web cam

Connected to What?????? Consider this, not all computers are created equal, I wish they were, but they are not. Some USB connections don't provide the power necessary to run some USB components, fact of life, nothing we can do about it except to try a different USB port on the same computer and pray. In fact if your cam works on another computer but not on the one that is giving you the problem, then there is a very good chance that your USB ports are not providing necessary power to the component in question.
Now if you want to provide me with more detailed information we may be able to arrive at a mutually helpful answer.
There are two different models of that cam, one for the States, and one for every other country, which means it also has different drivers for the different models 700/00 and 700/37.

http://www2.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpproduct_selector.pl?submit.y=14&submit.x=15&searchtxt=SPC700NC&ctn=SPC700NC&slg=ENG

gives pertinent drivers for the two different models and FAQ information regarding installation issues and USB port problems especially with laptops. Now do you see why more information is necessary?????? Laptops are not the only computers with USB port issues, I have seen that problem on several non-laptop motherboards and it is unlikely that a bios update would fix the issue.

Please reply and let us know how it goes
