If it can be seen in your psp, the mp4 file might be problem.

try downloading PSPVC:
http://pspvc.nswardh.com/

It's a free software that can convert almost any video file to mp4 format and made specifically for the psp.
I've been using this program since I got my PSP and I haven't got any problems with all the files that i converted.

Make sure you have the latest operating software on the psp.

make sure the file fits on the memory stick.

make sure you put the file in the right folder - video

if all else fails you may want to try sony media manager software which does it all for you...

maybe video format is not compatiable with PSP. I heard this video converter converts video files, YouTube videos, movies so you can play them on your PSP. The software can convert all types of video files (avi, divx, xvid, flv, x264, vob, mpeg, YouTube, etc.) into the proper video formats (MPEG-4, H.264) that play on the PSP.

Copying a file manually Copy the video file to Memory Stick Duo media to enable it to be played on the PSP system. Using a PC, create a folder named "VIDEO" within the Memory Stick Duo media, and then copy the file into that folder.

Psp video help!

lately my psp has been doing that too. i'm not sure why, it might have something to do with the update or mp4's in general.

what i found i could do to get the mp4 onto the psp was to download PSP Video 9 and use it to convert the mp4 file onto the psp. video9 is free and doesn't take long to download. here's the download link:

http://www.pspvideo9.com/

make sure to save your mp4 file to a file in your documents instead of saving it directly to the psp so that you can convert it in video9.

hope i helped a little... good luck! :)

format Memory stick with psp for get organize of folder. hope this helps.

PSP video downloading

the format for a psp video is MPEG-4, you must have a video converter, in placing the video, create folder "VIDEO" and then make a new folder again and in that folder, place your video. If you want to download a MPEG-4 converter just go to this site  http://www.soft32.com/Download/free-trial/Ultra_MPEG4_Converter/4-200374-1.html
