ok, i have fix the screen problem, in color temp i've put the "user" setting and put all 3 values in the middle (R,G,N), that way i have achived to see normal colors again, but , i still hace no sound in cable mode (a/v mode and vga mode are workig fine :D ) , i have called to viewsonic and they sugest me 2 thing , 1st to go to the menu and try reset the factory values (didn't work) , 2nd to unplug de ac and press the power button to uncharge all the residual energi and do some kind of "hard reset" (didn't work either). so finaly.... cable mode it's f**ked up but the others modes seems to work properly

PD: to verify that the cable signal it's not the real problem, y have tryed in another cable cable (it's that writed rigth?) from mi home that work fine in another tv, but in this one it's same problem ever. need another information??

C'ya and thanks pd2: sorry if mi english sucks :p

Sounds like the problem is being caused by bad cables or bad device signal. What is it hooked up to ie; computer, DVD player, etc. Check the cables themselves, start by checking the tips, try to make sure that none of them are bent or tweaked. Let me know what you find, and then we'll go onto step two.

    Tip

    Service menu codes panasonic

I provide this information for those that are qualified and trained to do TV repair work. Entering or making changes in service mode by untrained persons can cause significant and permanent damage to your television. If you are not qualified to service your television, please DO NOT ENTER these service menu codes.

Panasonic TV's after 1996 can be set to "Serviceman Mode" with the
    following remote control sequence:

-select the SET-UP icon and select CABLE mode.
-select the TIMER icon and set the SLEEP timer for 30 minutes.
-press the ACTION button twice to get out of the menus.
    -change to channel 124.
-adjust the volume to minimum (0).
-Hit the VOL down button on the TV itself (not on
the remote) and a red "CHK" should appear in the upper corner.
-press the ACTION and VOLUME DOWN buttons (again, on the
TV, not the remote) you will toggle between AGING and SERVICEMAN modes.

Select Serviceman mode. The POWER button on the remote control will
select one of the five Serviceman Adjustment modes.

    The modes are:

B - Serviceman VCJ SUB Adjustments. These include sub-tint,
    sub-color, sub-brightness, sub-contrast, colorkiller/ABL/gamma,
audio and video adjustment, and vertical size.

C - Serviceman VCJ Cut-off adjustments. These include Red, Green
and Blue cut-off, red and blue drive, automatic fine tuning
(AFT), RF AGC (RF gain control), horizontal center, beam limit,
    etc.

S - Serviceman Options Adjustments. These involce the PIP and
    clock.

    M - Serviceman MTS (Stereo/SAP) adjustments.

CHK - the mode you first entered. Normal picture and sound, lets
you check things over and still have a hotkey into the
    service menu.

There is one more adjustment that isn't in the five modes, it's
global. When in either the yellow or red CHK mode, you can press
RECALL on the remote control to enter the purity field check mode.
This lets you select a pure white, red, green, or blue screen. A
good thing to walk away from if you just want to temporarily freak
out the floor manager, but it will be fixed as soon as the TV is
    turned off. Oh well.

To get out of Serviceman mode, press ACTION and POWER on the
receiver simultaneously for at least 2 seconds. The TV will momentarily
shut off and then comes back on.

My tv is locked and i cant unlocked it

HERE'S WHAT YOU'VE GOT TO DO:

    1. Turn on the TV and grab the remote.
    2. Look at the screen. If you see a blank screen with a red key at the bottom of the screen, press "Function" and "Mute" at the same time.
    3. Unlock all the other channels by entering the factory reset code. There are three main reset codes: 0711, 6688, and 3308. Try each one until you find the one that works. This will reset the TV to its original factory settings.
    4. Contact a TV technician or your service provider if none of the above-mentioned works.

    I hope this helps. Thanks...

The word "Factory" has appeared on the screen in red

    Hi.

Factory on screen means that the TV is stuck in service mode (Durabrand and more). The problem is fixed accessing Service mode and resetting to factory default settings.
On Durabrand TVs problem is fixed using a programmable remote, entering service code on remote, and accessing service menu.
Procedure is listed on TV service manual. Most durabrand use Menu and key combination 683 to access service mode.
If that does not work, calll manufacturer number to get the key sequence to enter factory menu.

    Color has too much red

Is this happening when you are switching between color tempature (Normal,Warm, and Cool). You wont be able to access it in normal menu.
You will have to accesss the service tech menu. enter "062596 then info", if u enter the code correct at bottom of screen you will see a warning menu only access by a service tech , continue in menu you will see on main option screen "alignment" enter this. Go to white point adjust the three temp settings (Normal, Warm, and Cool) settings as follows.
    Color Temp. I Red I Green I Blue I

    Cool 122 120 121

    Normal 125 118 108

    Warm 127 110 75
( These are factory specs u can tweak them to your own perference)

After u set these press left on remote and exit back to main service menu and store these setting before turning TV off set these settings

I see this alot when Philips manufactured the TV. The did store the settings.

    Solution that worked for me:

Beware: Although the process should be safe, it technically voids your warranty.

    Enter the service menu:
1 - turn of tv with remote
2 - press and release in the following order on the remote: Info, Menu, Mute. Make sure remote is pointing at the tv
3 - turn on the tv from the remote
4 - you will see the service menu. using the down arrow on the remote select the Reset option. Using the right arrow button at this point will do a hard reset.
5 - Wait a few seconds, turn TV on
6 - you will have to rescan analogue and digital channel but it should be working now.
