Lhow do I clean my inside coil on my Rhuud split system

It differs between upflow and downflow systems. A downflow can be cleaned by taking the coil cover off and cleaning the coil. An up flow on the other hand, you have to remove the coil door, then remove the plate that's on the coil itself to get underneath. This can be a pain and a higher risk in damaging the system. It helps to remove the flue first. The coil box and flue are usually 1/4 in or 5/16 in screw heads.
Good luck and I hope you get it going!

Spray with kitchen degreaser with filter gauzes out but cover closed. Allow to soak for 10 mins. Brush with nylon brush (dustpan brush) or old toothbrush to get into all the crevices then rinse with warm water from a garden low pressure sprayer and vacuum dry with a vacuum cleaner. Refit filters and run to check

How do I clean the evaporator coil on my Goodman air conditioner? The model number is H36-F.

Remove the cover in front of the coil, If the line set runs thru this cover try to slide it out of the way, some units have a triangle shaped sheet metal covering the end of the coil, if so remove.
The dirty side of the coil will be, on the air filter side of the coil, if the coil is very dirty use a vacuum with a with a brush and vacuum off the worst of the debris, some fins are soft so pay attention to them along the process. Using something like 409 and a pump up sprayer or squirt bottle spray the coil, start at the bottom and work your way up, this is so the water will drain into the drain pan.
When using the 409 and water watch that the water is not dripping into the furnace if so use a towel and or something to prevent the drips from getting into the furnace, take your time and be thorough.
Please buy a quality air filter, and prevent having to clean the coil again.

What is the btu of this model.m7q08f2a.

Hi, to find out the tonnage of your unit in b. t. u.'s, look at the 08 in your model number. There are 12,000 btu's per ton of cooling. You have a window /wall unit, and according to the model # 08 is not a 1/2 ton or a 1 ton, but a 3/4 ton unit or 8,000 btu's if indeed this is the correct model number. Most units we come across are in btus as 06 which is 1/2 ton, 12,000 is 1 ton, 018 is 1 1/2 ton and on up with a properly matched indoor coil. Your unit is a package window unit, so both coils are equal.
Sincerely,

How to clean dirt that gets by filter of window air conditioner M7Q08F2A

Both the evaporator and condenser coils (inside and outside) can be safely cleaned with products specifically made for the job. Clean evaporator and condenser coils mean more efficient cooling - which means lower operating costs. Cleaning the coils can remove stale or other less desirable odors that originate from your air conditioner. An example is made by Thermwell which is available at Lowes and other hardware and home improvement stores. There are many different manufacturers of the cleaners - so if this particular brand isn't available at the store you shop, another will do. Different brands and types have different methods - so you should read and follow the directions on the can. Many of the canned foaming / spray type cleaners are "rinse free" - meaning it is not required to rinse the foam off - as running the unit will allow the condensation that forms of the coils to do the rinsing for you. It should be noted that window / thru the wall types and other non-central air conditioning units should be tilted so that the condensation and chemicals drain outside - not into the house. If your AC hasn't been dripping water inside, it should be fine. Usually all that is needed is to remove the front grill and filter to access the coil. With the unit off (preferably unplugged) spray the foaming cleaner into the coil and let it sit to work on the dirt, grime, mold, nicotine, etc. that has collected on the coil. When the last step of the can's printed directions are complete - the job is done. You can find some helpful videos on Youtube to show how the cleaning is done on the larger, central air type units.

Please rate this reply if it was helpful to you - good luck!

Son has a window a/c, model no R0501 M which works in all respects except air coming out is not cooled

check and verify the compressor is on, also the cleanliness of the coils, the outside coil may look clean from the outside, and be totally clogged from the inside. You can remove the unit and take the top cover off and verify operation and clean it, (i assume that the unit is a small 5000 btu by the model number)

I have a kenmore casement model number 25378066890. I can clean the filter easily but I want to get behind the filter to made sure the front of the coils is dust free. How do I remove the cover to be able...

you have to remove the unit from the window and unscrew the cover which will allow you to clean the inside of the evap and condenser coil and oil the fan motor if it has oilers the easy way to clean it is to take it to a self use car wash. do not use the strong spray as it can bend the fins.

How to Clean 1984 TRANE Cooling VENTS inside house No Manuals

The Outdoor unit will be easy 1st diconeect power at panel, or disconnect box near unit. Remove top of unit, be careful not to damage fan blades. Spray coils (fins) with a light degreaser let is soak for 5 mins. wash out coils from inside the unit out. Spray straight on so you push the dirt out the other side.

Re assemble and start up.

Indoor coil will be accessed by removing front cover and you may have another cover to expose the inside of the coil fins. That is where you need to clean. Spray degreaser on coils and rinse off. If its gunked up then use a wire brush 1st. Carefull not to bend the fins over.

Check the drain pan at bottom of the coil to be sure it's not full of stuff. Blow out if needed.

You should be clean and ready for the season
