Bernina 440, blinking on/off icon in machine but no embroider

I am newbie on this. i followed all the directions that I could see, my computer connected with the sewing maching, calibrated the hoop, instructed when the dog foot was up to lower, and it seemed to send and thus receive the data for the design.
I have ARtista 4.0. The PC SW went through all the steps, but things stopped. my 440 with the blinking on/off icon on the display, and the PC SW with the highlight image of the machine with the on/off button in orange.

What else am I supposed to press/do?

I found out what was happening, seems the foot pedal was connected and so it needed to be unpluged when it uses the embroidery module. I disconnected it and it is just working fine now.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Sorry, I am not familiar with your model Bernina, however, there is a Yahoo group called BerninaThirtySomethings. You'll need a Yahoo account to find it and request membership. The group is very active and helpful--some Bernina gurus there!

How do you start embroidering a design where the thread breaks on a Bernina Artista 180 sewing/embroidery machine?

Most machines have a stitch counter, stitch forward and step back features. Check your manual and embroidery machine's screens for this.

IN case you have misplaced your manual I found this one for you. It's big so allow time to download.
