GE JKP15 built in electric oven malfunctioning. Oven door lock light comes on and can't use for baking. Occassional error code, but most frequent error is locked oven door. Is replacing the EOC board the solution? How do I replace the EOC board?

GEJPK15 built-in electric oven. Problem with locked door. In the middle of baking, locked door light will come on, shutting off the oven baking. Sometimes the door actually locks, other times the oven just hums like the door is trying to lock. Sometimes can bang, pound or otherwise jiggle the oven door to get the locked door light to go out. Often the problem repeats itself several times until finally the locked door light stops and the oven will then resume baking. I've cleaned the oven as recommended but not sure this is going to fix the problem. Is the problem with the EOC? If so, how do I replace the EOC? If not, what solution might I try. Thanks.

Your problem with door lock circuit is not the EOC-Clock. This usually due to pinched wires between control and door lock switches on motorized lock circuits So we advice to check wiring and test operation of door switches. This is tricky problem and need very good attention to the door switches and mechanism.

We have here below the parts layout of the door lock and also all the other parts of your oven which will help you to find the door lock.

The issue is not with the board ..but with the lock of the door...Probably it needs a real good cleaning and something to lubricate it and always be sure you push it in a little so that it locks proper..On this sequential task devices..if a task is not complete in order the other will not follow..and the device is stopping ...In our case the locking and unlocking of the door is the first and task when you want to use it ...and the last when you close it ..so if this is not functioning proper..it will not go further ..Even if the door is locking if the sensor is not aware of this ..the program will not allow the next task ..

What does the F-9 code for a Ge oven mean

An F9 error code on a General Electric (GE) oven indicates that the oven's electronic control system has detected a problem with the automatic door lock. The automatic door lock mechanism prevents the oven door from being opened when the oven is set for "Clean" mode. The malfunction may be a jammed door lock mechanism, a pinched or broken wire, a faulty lock switch or a fault in the control board itself.

Oven comes on for 5 min then shuts down everything even the keyboard

Same problem here on JKP15WOW1WW. The cycle starts like this:
1) Open circuit Breaker
2) Open oven panel and push ribbon connector to ERC. Replace planel.
3) Close circuit breaker
4) Run to oven, notice clock flashing some time but not 12:00 and start Bake. Bake button beeps and starts bake coil.
5) Within 5 minutes hear a beep and all buttons on panel are unresponsive. Bake continues. if oven light is on it continues to glow. Only button that responds with a beep (and not to clear bake or oven light) is Clear botton.
Rinse..wash..lather...repeat...

Inglis F5E1 Oven model: IJP85801

The error code F5 E1 is normally associated with problems cleaning
in this case latch not locking. If you did not initiate the cleaning mode then (as u indicate - was baking) then we have a bigger problem. The controller (clock) has malfunctioned. Press any key for about a minute - F2 should appear - then press cancel observe for about a minute - try operation - either back to normal or change control board
