Question about Roper RAS8244LQ Washer
The problem is in the clutch assembly particularly the thrust washer. Check the condition of the clutch assembly to verify this condition. Disconnect power then remove the agitator. Once the agitator is removed, lay the machine on its back then unclip the pump from the drive motor. Disconnect the motor harness and remove the bolts attaching the gearcase to the base. Carefully pull the motor and gearcase assembly out. The gearcase assembly includes the clutch assembly.
