My wi is 6 months old and worked good until 6 weeks ago, when playing it shuts off and won't come back on until it cools down and you diconnect the power. it gets very hot"and seems to do it more frequently. Is the game bad? or is it a built in themo overload switch? wayne.

My disc draw has come out

You are going to have to replace the DVD drive, there is no way to repair the one you broke.

You can get the drawer to go back in, but it will never function like its suppose to again.

Xbox will not read disc. When I plug in the Xbox it powers on fine. I insert the disc and close the draw. monitor still show me the draw is open.

It sounds like your DVD drive's laser is malfunctioning. Either that or the tray is not closing all the way. You'll have to open up your console and see if the tray is stuck. If it's not stuck, it's the DVD drive's laser.

You have a few options:

1) Decrease the resistance on the laser to increase power, and it may be able to read the discs again. A guide for that can be found here.

2) If that doesn't work, or you do not wish to do that, you can replace the laser head all together. Replacements can be found on eBay. You can follow this guide to replace the laser head.

3) You can replace the DVD drive completely, but it will require taking the original drive's firmware and putting it on the replacement one. The guide for that can be found here.

A game is stuck in the tray. The green light is

There is a way to manually remove it. First you will want to unplug the power for a few minutes to let your Xbox reset. Re-attach the power cord and see if you can now eject your DVD. If that did not work turn the power off and unplug it. Remove the faceplate on you Xbox console. You will need a thick paper clip or something similar. Straighten one end of it out. With the faceplate removed you will see 2 small holes right underneath the DVD player and one hole to the right.
Since Microsoft decided to use 3 different DVD drives the procedure will vary. If you have a Samsung or Toshiba drive use the small hole on the right. Should be right underneath the X on the DVD drive faceplate. Push your straightened paper clip in the hole until you feel it hit the gear. The gear needs to be spun from left to right. Poke around until you find it then push in gently until you feel it move. You will see the tray start to move out.
For Hitatchi DVD drives go for the first hole on the left. Beng DVD drives will use the middle hole. This requires the most pressure to get the gear to turn. You will see the tray start to move take your time and do not push too hard in case you are missing the correct spot. Once the tray starts to eject you can pull on it slightly to help it open. You should now be able to remove your Game.

Need service request...DVD from Netflex is stuck in my Playstation 3 and will not come out. Was told to ask for a SR number. Purchased March, 08.

Well we cannot give you a service request number from this site but we can advise you on how to try and fix the problem. First thing you can try is to look very carefully at the front of the playstation 3 unit where the dvd tray is. There should be a very small hole about the size of the head of a pen next to the tray. You will then need to unravel a paper clip so it is straight. Insert the paper clip into the hole as straight as possible and push it in. This should release the stuck tray and then you will be able to remove the DVD. If another one gets stuck again then you will need to contact Sony or a authorized repair center to service your unit. If there is no hole to be found for the tray release then you would need to dis-assemble the case of the playstation to manually remove the stuck dvd. Let me know if you have any other questions.

A DVD is stuck in the console.

What console?
If it's xbox 360, you should be able to just take it apart

Then just unscrew the DVD drive and grab the DVD.
If it's not Xbox 360 just look up how to take it apart.

You should be able to find something.
