Question about Panasonic DMP-BD35 Blu-Ray Player

1 Answer

Hi, My Panasonic Blu Ray DMP-BD35 player stopped working. It tries to read the disc with few clicking sounds and then ends up displaying STOP. Intially it looked like it happened for Blu Ray discs and when I treid the regular disc it didn't work. Then after sometime it didn't work for either of them. Please help! Is it somethng withthe firmware as I never updated it since I bought the player. Thanks

Do you have the latest firmware installed on the player? If not you can get it from the Panasonic web site (www.panasonic.com for U.S.or www.panasonic.ca for Canada). If you are in a different country go to www.panasonic.net and select your region from the Global Network world map.

Once you are in the right site select support and then downloads and put in your model number. You can then see the latest firmware and instructions for installing it.

SOURCE: - All my DVD Blu-ray

There are two different lasers on the drive.. Red for DVD and CD.. Blue for Blu Ray..

The Blue Laser may have failed.

Of course it always helps to check drivers and firmware updates for the drive itself. There was one firmware update 12/2010 for this player at the Panasonic USA website (support) Version 1.43

Finally Check your BD Ratings settings. There is a setting that could prevent all Blue Ray Discs from being played. It should be set to NO LIMIT which allows any rating. Page 24 of your manual.

Best of luck!

CAN THE panasonic dmp bd35 PLAY 3D BLU-RAY DISKS

I understand the DMP BD35 is a normal blue ray disk player and not a 3D. Please see this manual if you want to be doubly sure.

However something like a DMP BDT360 will play 3D blue ray discs and you can view it on a 3D ready TV.

Hi, I just purchased a Panasonic Blu-ray Disc Plaer DMP-BD35. I am attempting to play the audio through a Yamaha HTR-6230 AV Receiver with 5.1 surround sound. I am using an optical cable. I am unable...

Check both for Optical

1) Check your DVD player make sure it is set to Dolby Digital or Optical Out or even AUTO (if applicable)
2) Check the Input source to the receiver say if you are using DVD on the receiver make sure the digital setting is set to either Optical or Auto
