Garmin nuvi 1300. unable to perform back to rest

Remove the power from unit while it is still on and then hold down the power button for about a minute. Reconnect to power source and see what happens. If still operating erratically then something is wrong with the electronics of the unit.

Unable to switch device on

If you are able to switch it on by plugging in a USB cable, and it seems to have a reasonable charge, it could be a faulty power switch. My Garmin unit failed, but I am able to power it up using a cigarette lighter charger, and allow it to power off after disconnecting by allowing the unit to automatically power down.

Just used garmin nuvi it worked fine went into the store and now the unit is locked/frozen on the garmin logo screen

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} The reset button on your nuvi 2xx, 3xx or 6xx will not restore your device to factory settings or delete any map updates. The reset button will switch your device off if you are unable to switch the device off by the power button. It will not erase any data on the device.
The reset button on your nuvi will switch the device off. The reset button can be used to switch your device off if the screen is frozen and you are unable to switch the device off by the power button.

To reset a nuvi 2xx:

  1. Look at the bottom of the device
  2. Locate the small circle with a dot inside
  3. Press the circle to reset the device.
To reset a nuvi 3xx or 6xx:
  1. Lift the antenna
  2. Locate a button with the word Reset inside
  3. Press the button to reset the device.
The device will now switch off.

Make sure to charge it fully.

Unable to charge the 3100. If charged via car

the Magellan Maestro can not be charged using the USB connection.

make sure green light is on if using the car charger and let it plugged in for awhile, then hold the power button (up to ten seconds) until it starts..if that fails

The following Magellan 800,860,2000,2200t,2500,3000,3050,3100,3140,4000,4040,4050 and the 6000t are known to have faulty dc connectors...if your Magellan gps is not charging or will not power up, its most likely the dc power port.

you can get it repaired here
or buy the port here
