Defragment el1352 eMachine

Modern computers don't need their hard disk to be defragmented.
Perhaps you better try to clean up your disk and registry, with a program like Ccleaner. Don't forget ti install Microsoft Security Essentials, to keep the viruses out. When you have memory problems, please also check the Hard disk for errors with property and Extra, now check.

Emachine has black screen?

OK, going to have to guess a little on my side. Is the computer a laptop? If so are all the lights on the laptop on when it's started?
If it is a laptop - could be a back light - light that illuminates the screen, so it can be seen. IF this computer is a desktop, well - check all your connections to make sure they are well connected and same thing, do you see the power on lights. If so, you can start to figure it has something to do with your display or video card (on-board or dedicated video). Greatest of luck

My emachine keeps telling me that my hard drive is not working what can I do

If you can still boot to windows, the first thing that you need to do if you encounter errors like these is to back up your files. Then try to defrag your computer and then run chkdsk.
Here is a link on how to defrag (in case you didn't know): this will make your computer run a bit faster

And here is a link on running chkdsk

if you find more than 20 bad sectors, it is time to say goodbye to your HDD

How to connect emachine flat monitor to my computer?

Hello,

It sounds as if you are missing the power cord for the monitor. If the cord did not come with your monitor/PC, you can pick one up at any Radio Shack or electronics store. If you could forward me your eMachine model number as well as the monitor model number, I will see if I can better solve this for you without you having to spend anymore money.

Best Regards,

My emachine is beginning to take a longer time to come back after the screen times out and goes black. Also, when I tried to install a game or program from a disc, the screen goes black and I have to press...

I would suggest that you take this case seriously and perform some normal maintenance checks like these ones that I would tell you.
First, open my computer, right-click on your hard drive, and select properties, then select tools tab, then under the tools tab, you should see error-checking, then click on "Check Now", then select the 2tabs under this and click on start.
It will tell you that it will be done at the next system restart, so click on OK. and restart your system.
Next, Defragment your hard Drive, by going to
the same place, and instead of error checking, you should click on Defragment Now.
All these things are going to take you a lot of time to finish but I'll tell you the truth...they are worth it.
After all these, you can now optionally improve the performance of your system by going to this place : Right-Click on my computer, Properties, then Click on Advanced, then under the performance tab, click on settings, and select 'adjust for best performance'.
This will change the appearance of your system and significantly increase your system speed.
Hope this gives you a great solution.
Goodluck!

My comp is missing the startup files and i am missing bigfix programs how do i get the setup cds or dvds for the emachine i have now?

If system restore does not fix your computer, then you have hardware problems (overheating, faulty memory or CPU, or some other component). Start by looking at those possibilities.
