SOURCE: Back & top of dryer get hot, clothes take long time to dry.

First thing to check for is blocked airflow. Check the dryer as well as the venting from the back of the dryer to the outside of the house good airflow is neccessary. You could remove the venting from the back of the dryer and run a load to see if that helps. Do not leave it off as it is exhausting lint and if a gas dryer spent fuel.

SOURCE: Takes almost 4 hours/timed cycles to dry 1 load of bedding/sheets

most of the time your complaint is the home owners house venting.run a load with the venting detached[it wont hurt a thing] if ok then must clean venting till dried as well as with out venting.if still long dry times first must make sure air ways in dryer are clean[should have good air flow at back if hand held there] and may need to remove front to clean lint filter area.and inspect blower ,making sure mounted to shaft and not worn in the center[blower key way, inside the hole where motor shaft goes thru blower]you dryer only has one element so if you have heat its heating.if you did all above and have problem still can be electronic[thermostats, timers etc........but i have fixed 1000s of dryers and their having problems are rarer.i hope that helps God bless ,tom

SOURCE: NOt drying clothes like it should

Has air flow problem, check to make sure the vent going to the outside is not blocked. If it isnt, you should be able to take off back cover of dryer. Should be a duct that air goes through, take it apart and make sure there is no lint in bottom of it. I had the same problem and that fixed it.

SOURCE: Dryer taking too long to dry a load of clothes.

First thing I would do is clean from screen filter all the way out. I would clean and vacuum all the dust in the vent.
If problem still persists, I would have the heating element replaced

How is the filter and exhaust pipe? Have you cleaned them recently? I think your machine has a clog somewhere between the filter and the outside vent hood.

Pull your machine away from the wall, remove the pipe ... if it is plastic, please consider replacing it with a metal one. Metal will not burn. Vacuum the pipe end to end - then check the flapper outside ... is it clogged? clean it.

LG Dryer takes too long to dry clothes

Sure the outside vent is not clogged up? If so it will overheat and turn it self off and do a poor job of drying the clothes.

Also check and make sure that all of the heating elements are working properly.

I have a GE washer/dryer Model WSM2700RAWWH stack type and the dryer is taking very long time to dry the clothes. Please advise if it can be fixed. If not what will be best alternate washer/dryer stack...

first things first. if any dryer regardless of brand takes 2-3 hours to dry cloths 90% of the time it is your exhaust duct. take the exhaust duct off the back of the dryer and dry some clothes if the clothes dry fast then you need to have your exhaust duct cleaned. either DIY or call a professional
if it still takes a long time to dry then it could be the thermostats or the thermistor.
but in my experience its normally the exhaust duct.

My dvlr223egww takes over 2 hours to dry a load,

The most common problem is your exhaust line is blocked. Turn on the dryer and go outside to feel how much air is coming out the vent. Most likely it is blocked. If so you'll need to disconnect the exhaust duct and vacuum it out.

I have a neptune drying center and it's taking 3 hours to dry

Check the exhaust duct again. There must be a blockage, a kink, or a disconnected vent pipe.

I have the Whirlpool thin twin LTE6234DQZ and the dryer takes more than 2 hours to dry a small load. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

sounds like a clogged or kinked vent. tis generating heat so hte dryers good, your not ehausting the heat whick is why its take 2-3 cycles to dry, either clean or replace your venting, look to where it exits hte home sometimes theres ascreen over it cloggged with lint!!!!
