SOURCE: problem running heater

Its not good that you dont know where the air filter is. Odds are there may not even be one in place. In Most mobile homes they dont pay much mind to proper filtration. The heat strips are covered with dust. If the heat Strips are that bad then usually the whole unit is clogged. Is there a unit inside the mobile home?? Or is the unit outside quite large and have ducts running to it??

Intertherm Heat Pump

Some of the old heat pumps made the reversing valve in the heating mode. On your new thermostat the orange wire will need to be on the B terminal. If it was color coded? I hope you made notes of how it was.

Intertherm furnace heat pump combo had a small fire in the control wiring when a contactor for the heating elements burnt. I am an electrician by trade and have replaced all the wiring and contactors but...

ok the transformer has a common which is black the second wire red is coming from the contactor side at 240 volts the last wire on the side opposite the common and 240 connection goes to the 24 volt side of the contactor. Hope this helped
