You made a powerful short if you blew a breaker! There has to be damage to the circuit area that is related to the S-Video input.

The input circuit IC and possibly some other support components have been damaged. This IC may no longer be available.

I don't think the service manual is still available from Sony. They were charging $60 US for the manual when it was available.

If the TV is a few years old the flashing green light means the bulb need to be replaced. That's why the TV will not show a picture. Check your owners manual on how to replace.

RED STAND/BY LIGHT WILL COME ON BLINK SEVERAL TIMES, HEAR A CLICK SOUND A FEW TIMES BUT TV WILL NOT COME ON,

Sony TV LED & Blinking Codes - What Does It Mean When Standby/Timer Light Flashes

Sony has provided a "self-diagnosis function" with your TV, that in the case of abnormalities or problems the LED or red blinking light on the Timer/Standby indicator flashes a number of times to indicate the issue.
when there is trouble with your Sony Television set -- it indicates the issue in either the diagnostic mode, or even more commonly by flashing a series of LED blinks or flashes on the front of your television. Each set or frequency of the blinks indicates a very specific problem with the television itself.
Sorry but unless you may be able to repair the television set yourself , please call a local repair shop to the have a repairman sent out,,

Flashing light on left lower side of TV......TV will not come on ????

Check your owners manual in troubleshooting section. The flashing light is a diagnostic tool to help direct you to the problem. If the flashing count is not in your manual, post the model number of the set with the flash count and I will look it up for you. Hope this helps

My sony kv-32hv600 has a red Stand By light blinking 6 times and then it pauses and blinks 6 more times. Is there any way I can reset it so that I can use the TV again. There is no picture or sound coming...

No the blinking lights are an error code with an issue and that protects the TV from further damage.

I believe that is a power supply board failure code. Time for repair! Sorry! Take it in for service or you may try to repair it yourself.

SONY WEGA KV27FS120 WON'T TURN ON, LED BLINKS A FEW TIMES

I don't know if this will help anyone else, but I sure hope it will. I had a similar problem with TWO of the three Sony 24" TVs I had bought together. TV#1 konked out a month ago; TV#2 messed up last week. So I called the Sony Service Center, and this very nice guy told me that a lot of times this problem occurs because the TV isn't plugged directly into the wall (most people plug theirs into a power strip/surge protector). When it happened to TV1, we hadn't been using TV2 so we just traded their locations and the "bad" one sat there waiting to be thrown out...and sat and sat and sat. Well, I was pretty hot when it happened again a month later to TV2. The service center guy told me to unplug TV2 and replug it in the wall after about 1 minute and turn it on. Nothing happened. Then he told me to plug in TV1 and turn it on. I did, reluctantly. And it actually worked!! I don't know if anyone having this problem has a week to be without their TV, but the guy said sometimes it takes up to a week of sitting to get it to work right again. So I'm waiting a few more days before I try to plug in TV2 to see if it works again, but for now, at least I've got one TV back. Here's hoping you all have the same experience. And then I guess we'll have to decide whether to plug back into a power strip (mine was actually plugged into my cable TV's DVR machine) or into the wall.
