Question about JVC LT-32D200 LCD TV

Open Question

My JVC LT-32DV20 will not power on. The blue power indicator will blink a few times, then it shuts down. No audio or video while the indicator blinks. Postings for a 40 set discribes a similar problem, and a reset sequence. Is there a way to reset the 32 inch model?

SOURCE: remote control (i hope)

The IR sensor in the tv is probably weak, you could make a mountain out of a mole hill and get it replaced (using your friends receipt ^_^) but there's nothing to be done about the sensor.

1. Hold [menu] and [vol-] button on the side of the TV
2. while holding these, press the [power] button on the side of TV (NOT remote)
3. blue light comes ON and stays ON
4. wait 10 seconds then let go of [menu] and [vol-]
5. wait another 30 seconds and some type of picture should appear

SOURCE: JVC LT-42E488. No picture. JVC logo comes up for a few seconds.

A firmware update might fix it. Call an authorized servicer, explain the symptom.

Blinking indicates that the power source has shut itself down because another component has died and it's shorting it. Unless you have experience in electronics it's time to take the receiver to a repair shop.
